Kelly Aguilar, MD - Endocrinology - Baylor St. Luke's Medical Group - Spring, TX reviews
15Read all the reviews and made my decision based on the reviews. I wouldn’t go to her office or waste my time-thank you to reviewers!
As a prospective new patient, I was asked to get a referral, all past labs, medications and progress notes to Dr. Aguilar. All of this was done by my PCP immediately and was told they would call to schedule. When no call occurred after 2 days, I phoned to schedule and was told that this doctor rejected to see me without any reason or explanation. When I questioned her staff they quickly told me to call my PCP and get another doctor and HUNG UP ON ME! Don't bother with this group!
Brand new to Texas finally got a a human on the phone after leaving 3 msgs for a call back. To then be told I need a REFERRAL, for what? Aguilar is in my network, and my plan doesn't require. They were insisting that I call my previous Endo in NJ for referral. Really? , what a waste of TIME. Continue my search for a BETTER Endo in my area. Negative star.
I have been going to Dr. Aguilar for about 10 years. While I think she is a good doctor her office staff isn't. I had a problem with a medication and called four times and left messages that I needed to talk to someone and no one ever called back. I finally had to go to another doctor to get my issue taken care of. I guess it is a good thing I wasn't have an allergic reaction to the medication or I might not be writing this.
Dr Aguilar went above and beyond and spent well over 2hrs in my appt trying to get to bottom of this rare disease! Best doctor I’ve found in a long time!
Make an appointment 2 months out and they cancel 2 days before I am supposed to go in and try to reschedule month out again. No wonder the bad reviews. The Endocrinology group at St Lukes needs some work. I have tried to get in to see two of them and both horrible to book. I booked within a week with Methodist no issues very simple.
I was referred to this doctor by my PCP. I called her office for 5 business days in a row just to get an appointment. On the 4th day, someone answered and told me to hold and never returned to the phone but eventually put on the answering service. I finally got through and we given an appointment two and a half months away.
Dr. Kelly explained very well everything about my thyroid, she was kind, friendly and very professional. Great doctor and also great staff. I recommend this place. Very satisfied with my visit today
Made an appt in October in person. Called to cancel. Had to leave a message, they don't call back! Instead of ten minutes I will go over an hour to see another doctor. I expect my physician to be an excellent physician and manager. Never met her, but staff needs some training!
Receptionist was horrible. Said that I would not be seen without a referral and all labs being sent ahead of time and only if for 1 of two conditions and even then, availability wasnt open for two months. FIRST OF ALL, get over your power trip. I WAS referred and there was no need to be rude and act like I was inconveniencing you simply for calling. A little customer service would probably help your career, sweetie. That and some anger management classes. Happy to spend the thousands of dollars I know this will cost somewhere else and I hope your boss sees this.
My PCP referred me so I could be worked up for a rare endocrine disorder. Dr. Aguilar's office finally called me today, but instead of scheduling me, they said that she was refusing to see me because I'm not already diagnosed. I tried to explain to the staff that I am beyond the expertise of a GP and that's why I need to see an endocrinologist for further workup. Bottom line is that Dr. Aguilar refused to see me and said it's my PCP's job to figure out what rare endocrine disorder is causing my symptoms before referring me. The woman on the phone was obviously just trying to end the phone call and was becoming more rude as the call went on.
I'm now getting referred elsewhere, to an endocrinologist that will actually see a patient for further workup.
I don’t appreciate not being accepted because I don’t have a referral. I have PPO. What is the problem. I feel discriminated against.
Best doc I’ve ever had! Very caring and very helpful! Great person you should see her! She will help you! Has helped me more than any other doctor I’ve seen! Great staff too!
I’ve been type one for 15years
I’ve read other reviews on hear! Makes me mad! Sounds like our diabetes condition is getting the best of y’all! You’re uncontrollable moods are something you need to figure out and not take out on such good people like Dr Aguilar and the staff! Like I’ve said you won’t find better help!
Been a patient since 2016. GI doctor found something on MRE and it took forever to get my referral. It will take 4 months to see her. Offered to put me on a cancellation and offered no other options (another doctor or location). Nurse kathy called back and said Dr Aguilar reviewed my file and this test and felt like someone else has treating me so she felt I was not a priority to see sooner. GI doctor doesn’t not treat adrenal issues. Felt as if she doesn’t want me as a patient and they weren’t concerned about my health. Nurse said I should have an appointment this month for an annual but I should have made the appointment 3 months ago or really 1 year ago. Been hospitalized 2x in 1 month due to pain related to GI issues but doctors at St Lukes said I needed to follow up with endo to ensure my issues are not from adrenal. Very disappointed in the way I was treated. Will never go back to her and will address with St. Lukes. Unfortunately, I have referred so many friends to her. Never again.
I wanted to set up an appointment this morning. I ignored all the negative reviews and called at 10: 50 am. The recording said the office was closed for the Thanksgiving holiday and will reopen November 26th at 8: 30. I even called the number that is left in response to negative reviews and didn’t get an answer there either. I think all the negative reviews are 100% correct now. I will be staying far away from this doctor.
