Bought a Workmaster over a year ago from Kelly Tractor, they didn’t have the one I wanted and worked to find and get me what I was looking for. Josh did an amazing job and I was in and out in less than an hour. Around mid-late 2020 it started acting funny like it wasn’t getting enough power and they stated it needed a computer update and they came and picked it up and brought it back after the update was installed. Haven’t had a problem since.

Had an issue on a tractor bushhog where the problem occurred two times. Second time the exact same issue happened, we as the customer called brushhog ourselves and found a bulletin had been issued on this deck. We informed dealer to which they replied, we checked the PTO boxes and they are “dead nuts even. ” A few days later service manager calls me back, and what do you know, they need to be shimmed just as bushog said they may. Completely covered under warranty. The first repair we paid $650 for and it would have been covered under warranty if the dealer had simply checked with brush hog and then checked the issue. So when I went to pick up the deck I asked to speak to Craig about a refund or credit, went in and introduced myself and sat down. From the start Craig was abrasive, rude, and condescending and informed me he wasn’t refunding anything or issuing any kind of credit. The conversation was getting heated and really shifted gears when he cursed. At that point he informed me the first time our tractor came in it had a broken blade, to which I asked for a picture. He said they did not have a picture of it but he remembers the broken blade. I have the original blades at my shop as proof. After the lies and such we have already experienced with this dealership I put nothing past Craig. I’m certain he will have a rebuttal, and you can form your own opinion of the situation. All of this to say that Craig would rather curse, get heated, and threaten someone to stay away from his dealership over a $650 repair bill that should have been warrantied in the first place. If you are thinking of purchasing a tractor from this dealership I would atleast shop and read reviews on others in the area. There is some great helpful people at this dealership but the owner is not one of them.

I would not recommend doing business with Kelly Tractor & Equipment under any circumstances. The customer service is terrible, and the owner Craig will take advantage of you if given the opportunity.

On June 16th my company picked up a new tractor (New Holland) and deck (Brush Hog) that we had purchased from Kelly Tractor & Equipment. Within 2hrs we had to return to the dealer because of a slipped rubber disk failure on the deck. The Service Manager automatically assumed it was our fault because the blades had a few dings and the quote for repair was $1,146.07.

On July 3rd the deck was ready for pickup. However, after further inspection, they could not determine or explain the cause of the failure and the bill was magically reduced to $650.85.

On July 26th after using the tractor/deck (approximately 40 hrs.) the same failure happened again when mowing a hay pasture. We returned to the dealer at their request, and they had it a week before informing us it was once again, we were at fault.

The sales representative at Kelly Tractor & Equipment who sold us the setup would not provide any assistance after the sale or go to bat for his customer. At that point, we then took it upon ourselves and called Brush Hog (manufacture of the deck). Within 5 min of being on the phone explaining the situation, they informed us of a known manufacture warranty issue where the PTO boxes sometimes need to be shimmed.

We then informed Kelly Tractor & Equipment of what we just learned, and they immediately told us they had checked that. After not hearing back from them for a few days we stopped in and spoke with the Service Manager, which he admitted to not using a straight edge or level to check the PTO boxes, but according to him “eyeballed and they are dead nuts even”

The following week the dealer calls back and informs us that they checked the PTO boxes, and they did in fact need to be shimmed. They covered the discs and shim kit on the 2nd repair but absolutely refused to refund or issue credit on the 1st repair even after admitting fault for both malfunctions.

After a heated discussion with the owner Craig, he stated we had broken a blade the 1st time. However, that is not true, and we have the original blades to prove they are not broken. They also can’t provide any evidence (pictures) of where they are claiming the blade is broken which also doesn’t have anything to do with the issue we are having to begin with!

We will be trading this setup in and buying our next tractors from someone who takes care of their customers, unlike Kelly Tractor & Equipment. If they would have been on the side of the customer, to begin with, and reached out to the manufacturer themselves all this could have been avoided.

I am happy to speak with anyone who has questions regarding my terrible experience with Kelly Tractor & Equipment.

Terrible service after the sale highly do not recommend them in any way. Pour communication and bad attitudes as well as some stupidity.

Craig should be required as an owner to tell his customers how badly their “service” department will screw you BEFORE you buy anything from them. I would recommend ANY other dealer in east Texas, the entire state of Texas, or the continental United States other than Kelly Tractor in Longview.

If you have a part or piece of equipment break down, him and his people won’t even check to see if it’s a warranty item before trying to get all the money out of you they can. Even if it’s on a piece that you bought brand new from them and didn’t even have 3 hours on it when it broke… nah, why call the manufacturers or own up to it when you can just lie to the customer that literally JUST spent almost $60,000+ in your dealership.

Oh, and the sales”man”, is anything but. He’ll dang sure grab that commission check, but wants no part of standing up and helping his former clients. FORMER because that was the last time they get a penny from me.

If I could leave no stars I would.
First of all getting any work done on your tractor will cause you to have a drinking problem. Service department is absolutely useless you have to fight them to even look at your equipment. Getting any warranty work done is a waste of time. Just bought a tractor from them and it needed some work they left it sitting in the back of their yard for a month before looking at it after they told me it would only be a few days. I lost a great customer because of these clowns. I'll never go back there again

Service department was very helpful when got some parts they help me get some things together the prices were really really reasonable shocked almost how how affordable things were in this day and age and time but this the staff was excellent I highly recommend them

Great service! Josh is an awesome guy to work with. He was willing to stand out in the rain to give a show and tell on the tractor I was interested in. This is what made me purchase my first tractor through them. I’ll definitely buy from them in the future.
