Kim Son reviews
16I would have given Kim Son Downtown location a zero star if the app would allow me. My husband and I had visited this kimson location regliously in the past years. The service was always above and beyond of excellence. One thing the restaurant was not even half full. It took them a while to acknowledge us. After we were sat. It took a while for someone to come and take our drink order. The waitress said she had many tables. We finally got our drinks and ordered the Vietnamese crape. We keep seeing other tables get food and more for. The waitress claimed that the crape took a very long time. It was one excuse after another. I understand if a restaurant is short staff. But it was ridiculous that it would take more than 30 minutes for a crape. Considering that 2 other tables kept getting food.
I love love this place! Very good customer Service! Big servings. You never have to ask for a refill on your drink. Really great place! I will continue going there forever! Thank you guys!
Extremely enjoyed our food! Most of all the customer service was excellent. Our server Nathan was the best hands-down. There was a group of eight or nine of us and treated all of us with a great deal of care and attention to detail. I had the lemongrass tofu it was amazing! The Moskal mule was really good to five SARS would recommend
Bathrooms have graffiti, toilet paper on the floor and pee all over the floor. Two wall signs to clean the restroom and nobody does it.
I haven't been to Kim son in forever and it was really great today. I had a 2 item chicken combo with orange chicken and general tso. My wife had a seafood dish and both were very tasty. I would definitely go again soom
I came here for lunch, and it was great! The wait time was non existant, and I got my food super quickly. I got the general tso chicken for around 10 bucks, and I'm satisfied with the price. (Though their sampler appetizer was over priced for what you get in my opinion. Tasty but not enough bang for your buck). I liked my meal so much I ordered a meal to take home to my grandmother. Also the server was polite and kept my drinks topped up. He was rather soft spoken so it was kinds hard to hear what he was saying but then again I do not have the best hearing. Would reccomend for lunch!
HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT. Please do not return. Lackluster and unclear menu. Management absolutely disregarded my complaint and did nothing about it. I was given 3 squares of tofu in my entire dish and was told that this was standard. I took pictures I was so upset. Awful experience. My entire table was upset when leaving.
It’s been for about a year that the food is not as good as it use to be. I try it again for my husband, tonight food ok, they are understaffed and it’s dirty. Will be my last time here.
Service was terrible! This place use to be a staple in Houston. Don't recommend anyone here. Our waitress was very unorganized and unpleasant.
Had a 20 minute wait on a slow night because they had too many dirty tables that hadn’t been pre bussed by their servers. That is unacceptable you need to run your restaurant better, it doesn’t matter how good your food is if I have a bad experience.
I had a deluxe fried rice it's not even that good. Too greasy. To expensive for quality. The servers were cursing about something in Vietnamese. It is not very professionalism.
There was a hair in the sweet and sour sauce. Service was terrible. I should have known since it was relatively empty for a Friday night. Even though it wasn’t busy our waiter took an eternity to give us items we would ask him for. Basic things like napkins weren’t given to us.
I feel bad for them. Smells musty, and like furniture hasn't been updated to keep up with modern trends. Looks so impressive outside and we just read about it on the book, the immigrant advantage as a Houston landmark. The food was perfect and the menu is interesting. The art is gorgeous. The carpet and other furniture felt like grandma's musty furniture. I wish they could get Gordon Ramsay to come save it, renovate it and update the menu.
One of the few places we've found where my wife can get her beef chow fun fix. We both think they have a great beef pho broth. I get the pho deluxe with its generous portion of meats and deeply savory broth. Service tonight was fantastic, fun and attentive without being obtrusive.
For the love of God they can't get an order right. My customer loves this place for lunch meetings but they mess up everytime. I'm not sure how you confuse pepper shrimp with Chen cans Chua tom and Tim rang muoi
