We really do like this place and the sandwiches, but had a bad experience today …. We ordered a sandwich and a cup cake for my daughter who was alone at home and the order was accepted and to be delivered at 11.45 am.when the order arrived it just has the cup cake and I didn’t get any intimation about it …when my daughter mentioned this to me I called kingdom bakery and the girl gave lame excuses like our bread was frozen and we can’t make orders so early in the morning …. Then please tell me why did you accept the order I could’ve ordered from another restaurant…. Very very disappointed

These people will tell you how you should have the cake that you pay for! If I had a vision for my son’s sweet 16 which was super simple! I didn’t want any extravagant things on it. Yet they tried to push so much on me! They even told me when I should have the cake delivered. I know how I want a $300 look like for me! Cakes taste good but customer service is horrible!

Update- of course the owner would give the below type of response so they don’t look bad online. Your response sounds condescending and demeaning. Nobody likes to be gaslighted sir, which is why I posted this review. It’s in my right as a paying customer to give whatever type of review I see fit. Specially when I paid for a service. I am a Christian woman. I do not yell, but you interpreted as me yelling because I wouldn’t let you get one over on me. I’d like yo hear your recording. E-mail it to me. I am sure you have my contact info. Acknowledge your flaws and give better customer service.

Called for the price on 1 dozen plain cupcakes and after waiting told $36. Wry expensive for a plain cupcake

Repeat customer! They made my son’s 10th birthday cake and exceeded my expectations then so we came back for his 13th birthday party. We got a lot of compliments from guests about how great the cake looked and tasted! They exceeded my expectations again and I would highly recommend this place!

Thank you so much for making my mom’s Thanksgiving truly great with the eclairs!

I definitely recommend Kingdom Bakery for their high-quality ingredients great service, and great selection of desserts, cakes, and pretty much anything you could imagine!

I am so happy I chose them to do my daughters cake because it came out PERFECT! Better then the picture I sent them and told them I wanted it like. I am amazed and HIGHLY recommend this place for birthday parties, weddings, etc.they did an amazing job.

I ordered a custom smash cake for my son's birthday and it completely exceeded my expectations! Not only was it made exactly with the design I wanted but it was the best tasting cake I've had in my life. It was not over the top sugary sweet. It was light and had the perfect flavors without being overwhelming. The buttercream frosting was absolutely perfect consistency and flavor.
Now I can't go back other bakeries for our birthdays.
The communication with the bakers was also very easy and the cake was made perfectly on time.

The one star I am giving is because David is a great guy, otherwise it would be 0. My wedding was just yesterday and they never delivered the wedding cake and grooms cake, something that I had spent months dreaming of seeing. David came almost right before the event ended and tried his best to salvage it with what he had. I'm so deeply saddened that my wedding had to go without a wedding cake. I just wanted to say this and warn those coming here for a wedding.

So yummy! I ordered the a couple of items all of them were amazing. The vanilla puff pastry tart with the vanilla cream and raspberries sooo good and FYI I don’t like Raspberries but I killed those. That vanilla tart had me at the grocery store buying some raspberries. The desert kolaches.biblical so yummy. That’s definitely when you know an establishment is good they change your mind about something. Love this place I will be bringing my whole family to eat here again soon.

We ordered our first cake from this store. They were touting that Kroger cakes are not even comparable with them. They set my expectations really high, probably a reason for this review. We did not feel great about the cake. One reason could be because my daughter customized it the unusual way, opting for no icing on the sides. But I still think it should have tasted way better than Kroger cake, at least at the top where there is icing.
I don't think the taste justifies the money they charge. The decoration was great, but the decoration costed $25 and the (smallest) cake was more than $60 which is insane.
Overall I feel we could have got a Kroger cake and would be happier.

I also sensed that the owner/manager was telling us they have too many orders and if the can accommodate our order. After tasting the cake, I am wondering if that was a marketing pitch. I really do not see a reason for a high demand.

I ordered the mini caramel cake, the Napoleon/honey layered cake and triple chocolate chip cookie. Everything tasted bland, stale and like it was made weeks ago. Instead of the chocolate cookie, they gave me the peanut butter cookie, and it was hard as a brick and tasted more like a biscuit than a chocolate chip cookie. The honey cake was really dry and hardly tasted like honey at all. I ordered the Napoleon cake specifically because I read the reviews said that it was their best cake on the menu. I am saddened to write that I was not satisfied at all and will not be ordering from this bakery again.

Kingdom Bakery has always been my favorite place in H-Town quality wise. In the last couple of months i have gone there a couple of times to order some cake for some special occasions but walked away with disappointments. David the owner is a great man. But they have a young lady who is taking care of customers is pretty rude and arrogant and lacks basic customer service skills. She is never ready to offer any assistance and behaves in disappointing way which makes you run away.
Also the prices $$$ is sky rocking. For a a small cake serving 3 -5 people get ready to allocate anywhere close to $100.

I used them for my wedding cake this past weekend and they were AMAZING! Showed up on time and the cake tasted so good. Thank you for everything!

This was our second time using this bakery. The cake tasted great, not too sweet which is what we like. Ordering the cake was very easy, and they designed it just as I requested. The only issue we ran into was pickup. My husband, who initially ordered it told them that he would pickup at 11: 00. When he arrived, the cake was not ready, which was upsetting. They told us that it wouldn’t be ready until 2: 00, which was not okay. My husband did have to wait 20 minutes or so, but they managed to get the cake out faster to us. Overall, would recommend and I would use this bakery again.

So happy with Kingdom Bakery. The cake looked and tasted amazing. Staff was incredibly friendly. The cake was exactly what my daughter was wanting. Would highly recommend.

Came here late tonight after getting pedicures down the way. The service was excellent the samples were amazing and we walked away with more dessert than we can handle! I feel so bad that I didn’t get the name of the fellow that helped us, but shoutout to him because he was great!

I purchased 8 different types of little cakes for Thanksgiving. They were beautiful and my family thoroughly enjoyed each one! Thank you for your excellent customer service, as well.

Karissa is amazing. I was nervous about a cake I ordered for my daughter's 13th birthday. My daughter is recovering from surgery so this cake is very important to me. She confirmed my order and went the extra mile to ensure it is exactly what I wanted. Very friendly, patient, and thoughtful.

I just want everyone to be aware of Kingdom Bakery. Do NOT book with them! The most unprofessional vendor I have been in contact with this whole wedding planning process.
I called them weeks ago for an invoice to be sent so we could move forward with booking, and did not hear anything from them.
I also asked David, the owner, if he was going to be the one baking the cake, he replied with “why does this matter? ” What!?
After going through all of this trouble, we decided to be safe and find another cake vendor for our wedding. This was his response below:

David was fantastic! He was patient, explained everything to me! The cake for my brother-in-law’s birthday, who is a high school basketball coach, came out fantastic! It was also one of if not the best tasting and moist cake I’ve ever had! I was so impressed when I picked up the cake, it’s presentation, customer service that I immediately ordered another cake for my son’s 4th birthday, without even tasting this cake he made. Thankfully, I can say, I made the right decision! The cake was as delicious as it looked good! Thank you David & Kingdom Bakery. I’m so happy my sister recommended your bakery! I will be going to Kingdom Bakery for all of my birthday and other occasion cake and desert needs from now on!
