Kitchen Designs by Giovanni, San Antonio TX

3 Feb 2022.it's been an entire year and I'm still waiting for Giovanni to finish this bathroom.
The last time anyone worked on this job was 29 Dec, when a single workman corrected a few discrepancies we had listed.nobody's been here since.
A full year to remodel a simple bathroom. We have guests coming in March; I don't think it was too high an expectation that it'd be completed by now.
We started our bathroom remodeling adventure with Giovanni in Feb 2021. I personally demo'd the bathroom so it was ready when they started remodeling, 1 Apr. Much of their time is spent correcting errors in their workmanship, quite often nobody shows up to work. After going through 2 project managers over the course of the project, Giovanni is overseeing the scheduling.he's never been to the project site.this small bathroom is still not complete 7 months in.
The room is approx 8’ x 12’, 1 tub, 1 shower, commode and a vanity…nothing out of the ordinary. I was told by the salesman Marcello it would be a 4-5 week job…I had never met Giovanni. That time frame was good since my workcenter currently has an accommodating tele-work policy; between that & personal time I could be home for the workers.
For the entire span of this project it’s been hit or miss on workmen showing up. There were good days, but there were weeks nothing was done, or workmen would show up late in the morning and stay only an hour or two. Scheduling seemed completely random; I had to start pumping the project managers for their schedules, trying to find who was coming when so I’d know when I needed to be home and when to not waste my time.
It’s now Aug, 7 months into the project…I had to be on the road for 2 weeks mid month and I let the Giovanni team know I wouldn’t be home. This is when I was notified the 2nd project mgr was removed from the project and Giovanni was now in charge…nobody contacted me, I found out when I made the call. That first week of Aug nobody showed, nothing was done. When I returned, that Monday, the glass shower door installer showed. He had to “grind” a tile to accommodate the door…aside from being unsightly he damaged 2 adjacent tiles. The next day the tile guy replaced all 3 damaged tiles along with associated tile work. For the month of Aug, 2021 only 2 days of work were accomplished, one of those days was partially spent fixing poor work from the day before…and we’re going into Sep, month 8…
27 Oct 2021. Nothing has changed.the project languishes. On 4 Oct, after weeks of no contact I went to Giovanni's office and demanded he get on my schedule to visit this work site. I managed to get him to visit Fri, 8 Oct. His visit was half an hour or so, he looked around, measured.his response to the issues are dismissive and indifferent. I haven't seen him since and his only contact has been when I've texted him. We're waiting for a replacement vanity; the original is poorly manufactured with cracks from staples, warped panels and non-square corners.all could have been avoided with a little quality control.as we go into November. 9 months.
Today is 30 Nov 2021.we started this project with Giovanni 2 Feb 2021.the last time anyone has touched this project was 8 Oct and that was at my urging, the only time Giovanni set foot in my home.there is work left unfinished, repairs needing done.awaiting one part on order.
One major point of contention has been Giovanni's lack of quality control. The replacement vanity arrived in mid Dec (6 months!) and I asked Giovanni to inspect it before they delivered (we've corresponded via text, aside from the single visit he never comes to the site). He acknowledged he would check it.
22 Dec - The vanity arrived, box unopened, nobody had inspected the contents. Upon opening it was at least as badly built as the first and it was the wrong style.

Other than reaching out by text I've heard nothing from Giovanni.
12 Jan 22 - I got one response from Giovanni, that he'd try to have it ready by the end of the month.that's the last we've heard from him.

Giovanni and his team were outstanding! Very professional company the kitchen design was exactly what I wanted. Will use again for any future projects.

Jesse and the Kitchen Designs team did my kitchen and they made the process super easy and not stressful from start to finish.

Fantastic kitchen renovation and remodel of floors. Jesse was our project manager and was very responsive to our requests. He performed exceptionally ensuring work crews were on task. We contracted with Kitchen Designs by Giovanni to renovate our kitchen. We’re very happy with the results! Jesse was a great project manager - he was always available for questions & made sure progress was being made and with quality. I also had the pleasure of working with Marcello and Fiona (designers). It was such a great experience partnering with them all! I highly recommend them!

Prior to having our Kitchen remodeled we conducted extensive research and chose to go with Kitchen Designs by Giovanni. We obviously made the right choice. The Company and all of its employees were professional, very knowledgeable within their areas of expertise, and very good communicators. We were actually taken back when Giovanni himself showed up and met with us the day we were picking our our appliances with our designer Lara. Our experience started off by meeting with our project manager Lori. We cannot say enough about Lori but she took our ideas and made them into reality. As for our designer Lara she was just awesome! She had wonderful input while always listening to our ideas and incorperating them into the overall plan. The on site construction team led by Jessie were monsters! They were very proficient, hard working, respectful, and always took into consideration our ideas and the fact they were guest in our home. Prior to closing out the job they ensured we were 100% satisfied. We really can't say enough about this company. What we can say is you would be making a big mistake not to consider their services in support of projects and dreams that you may have for your home. We "WILL" defiantly utilize their services in the future. A+

We recently contracted with Kitchen Designs by Giovanni to renovate our kitchen and master bath shower We’re ultimately very happy with the results - it’s just what we wanted. Jesse was a great project manager and handled anything that needed to be addressed quickly and efficiently. Always available to us. Checked in during the work frequently. We’d work with Jesse (and Ralph!) again in a heartbeat!

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! From the consultation through completion, we were extremely pleased. Giovanni has an incredible crew and uses the best tradesmen for each phase of the job. Having been through renovations a number of times before I was leery about tackling a major bathroom reno, but having a Project Manager like Jesse made it as painless as possible! The level of communications was phenomenal; Jesse kept us informed daily of the work schedule, who was coming, their names and what to expect. He visited the worksite every single day workers were present to make sure everything was moving smoothly. You just don’t get that level of service most places! A huge thank you to all. Lori, Wendy, Ramone and crew, Ralph and Fede, Thomas, David, Sergio, and last but not least, Giovanni.

I have a beautiful new kitchen thanks to Lori, Fiona, Joseph and their team. I recommend them highly! They gave us great ideas, did quality work and everything was done to my satisfaction.
