Kiwanis Park, Lufkin TX

Enjoyed the covered pavilion with adequate seating for our large homeschool group. The playground was a big hit too!

It was a nice park with disk golf, tennis courts, basketball courts, and shade.

I had my three year old’s birthday party at the gazebo/ splash pad. It was AWFUL. I know renting these things are free but we showed up to people inhabiting the space (which, really is no problem, they left after realizing a birthday party was underway). My main issue is that on a Sunday in August with 107 degree temperature the splash was not operable. Multiple adults pushed the button, waited. Held down the button, waited. Tried the thing over and over. It would seem to me if your facilities were rented you would have someone ensure during such weather that the water to cool people off during these hot times work. One of my pregnant guests almost had a heat stroke. It is not safe to operate in such a way and I hope Lufkin considers the safety of its patrons in future operations.

I sat there enjoying the beautiful day while listening to the radio. Very peaceful afternoon! I usually walk the path but that was a chill and relax day.my grandson loves the playground areas and the lil watermark in the summer!

From out of state looking at places to bring my toddler to play. Park jungle gym is older but still in decent shape. Didn't spend time on trails or using facilities because it was swarming with homeless looking people, some of which were yelling random gibberish at us. I would say 15 to 20 sketchy looking adult men, no children. Lots of trash and cigarette butts by the swings. 0/10 would not come back.
