Kona Grill - Plano

This is probably the worst service Kona grill I have been too. Server kept forgetting our drinks orders, food worst very late but we can see sushi ready but no servers bring to us until manager shows up, our server disappears completely while other servers stood in front of us chatting. All these, the place wasn’t packed. It wasn’t busy. The manager did good but wish he is around more to get his staff to be more work and be more professional. I hate to have bad reviews for food service as I have done this myself, but seeing a place that wasn’t busy and staff just hanging around chatting and not providing minimal service to customers are just sad.

Great food as always but “Terrell” makes it excellent. Wonderful customer service. The best waiter I’ve had at Kona. Thx Terrell

Be sure to make reservations. Macadamia nut chicken has been amazing for a decade. Patio Bubbles and the Mai Tai were great. The sushi is also amazing.

Leland Dotson was provided me with great service. I gauge good service on how many times my water is refilled. He refilled it 9 times he knew I was thirsty, guess he saw how many times I was looking at him… his jerry curls were really cute I asked what product he uses and recommended tresemme and I’m going to try it… overall great service I will be back

You would think a $23 stir fry would have larger portions than a TV dinner. You would think after eating a $23 stir fry, you wouldn’t still be hungry. You would think - and you would be wrong.

Zenra is a great server! She is very sweet and really attentive.she explained any questions we had about the menu. Definitely would like for her to be my server when I visit again.

Our server, Terrell, gave perfect service. Iced teas filled before empty.including bringing extra ice.
Appetizer came out before the meal, then just as we finished he brought our main dish. Never once did I think, "Where's my waiter". I will request him on my future visits.

Zehra was an amazing server! She was very attentive - we always had full drinks. The carrot cake was great!

Had a great time at this Kona. My server Leland did an excellent job. His service was top notch and made sure everything was perfect for me.

We asked for a tall table and they put us in a low/normal one. Then it took a while for our waiter to ask for our order. Then we asked for glasses for our beers and that took a while as well. Food was ok though we have had better there before. The mgr. Came over to see how service was and he apologized for slow service and comp'd us a delicious cake. Prices are up quite a bit so we might start looking for another similar restaurants for our rotation.

Came here for a girls day and our server Lorenzo was beyond amazing! Great customer service and recommendation on drinks. The spicy shrimp tempura is amazing! Will definitely be back especially the way our server treated us.

Kona Grill! I went to this restaurant for a private dining birthday and we had a minimum required to spend per person. They allowed us to decorate the private dining room to our taste. They don't provide the table clothes, so make sure you bring yours, if you want that. We brought all our decorations. We were assigned our own servers and the private dining can fit up to 20 or so, depending on how you arrange the tables. We had a great time and the food was really good! Shout out to the general manager and the manager on site! They worked with me to get the best birthday at their restaurant. I highly recommend this restaurant, even for regular dining because of the tasty food.

Attended on Thanksgiving evening 5pm because we don't have family in town my wife and 2 children.

Unfortunately we were forgotten about in the corner. Took 25 min to just order a glass of wine.

Server was quick to get one answer and run away, not personable at all sadly.

Turkey came out, wife's was cold. I don't eat my food without my wife eating so I waited.after 15 min now my food is cold but hers came, but I wasn't going to mention anything because it was just time to eat and go.

Ambiance is really cool and I wanted to come back for date night when I get a baby sitter for this weekend, but this experience shot that idea in the foot.so sad, we live local and want a fun spot for date night, but Turkey day experience didn't help at all.

Loved everything we tried. Absolutely enjoyed our waitress Erica. She was helpful in helping us select drinks and food. It was our first time eating there. She and the atmosphere of the restaurant made our Thanksgiving day. Thanks for being open.

KONA Grill Plano is an upbeat modern American Grill / Sushi Restaurant. With an option for everyone. Great experience from reservation to the dessert. Service was awesome and was mentioned KONA was a scratch kitchen. Everything was delicious and we'll presented. Definitely will return soon. Just been a long while since I've been up to the Plano Local but I would like to update and give Great BIG Shoutout to Ms Sierra the Bartender. She's still just AWESOME I was Sooooooo Happy to see her again after ALL this time with this CoVid stuff. Ask for her at the Bar she definitely WILL take great care of you and your family/ friends. I love this location! The food is always great and service is the best. Leland is a great server. He’s super knowledgeable of the menu items and always gives the best recommendations. Highly recommend!

Food is pretty good here. They have awesome drinks and sushi. The atmosphere is nice, even the patio seating.

Went for their Thanksgiving dinner. OFF THE CHAIN. The macadamia crusted turkey is out of this world! The pumpkin old fashioned was different and delicious! Definitely a great place to go for the holiday. Or any time of year really!
