Asian Restaurant Koriente reviews
16I was very disappointed at their food. We ordered teriyaki chicken and koriante curry and they’re extremely salty and it hurt my tongue. Plz put less salt if you see my review. I’m just upset we paid for this food.
I have been disappointed with the reduction in food portions over a last few months. Otherwise I thought the food was very good.
Super fresh veggies in well curated dishes that are balanced and flavorful. RICE MEDALLIONS! Whatever you get, put rice medallions in it. Great value for the price too:) One of my favorite easy lunches in Austin
Ordered online and the two dishes we got were incredibly spicy. Because we had ordered so late (due to our previous online order being cancelled), part of me thinks they made our dishes so damn hot as punishment. The poke dish and spicy chicken entree were a level of spice that made it uncomfortable to eat. I’ve had many dishes from here before via delivery and never had this issue.
I could not shut up about how good the food was. We ordered several things including mixmix (delicious), papaya salad (such a refreshing side which complimented every bite), pickled veggies (umami vineager palate cleanse), and RICE MEDALLIONS, which had such a fantastic flavor and texture and was by far my favorite thing humans have done with rice.
Yum! So good and I will be back very soon. The flavor is amazing and the price is right. Get the curry…with rice medallions
This place is one of my ultimate favorite spots in Austin. Healthy, consistently good quality, delicious!? And super reasonably priced. Very Austin in it's vibe. The extra cherry on top is that if you have a gluten allergy or are celiac they're super mindful - celiac friendly. Also, the staff is super amazing always.
The rude lady at the counter has an attitude problem and should do well to remember who pays her salary instead of trying to boss her customers around
The food was absolutely disgusting. Everything was poorly cooked. The vegetables, rice, and noodles were extremely mushy and the salmon spring rolls had a sour taste to them. On top of that the teriyaki chicken almost had no sauce and the little sauce it had was extremely salty. I usually never review but this was one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve had in a long time. I couldn’t even finish it and ended up throwing it away.
Staff inside are rude and on a weird Covid power trip. Me and my partner take Covid seriously, but the staff were very condescending when we walked in and one of us forgot our mask and had to ask for one. Then, another couple walked in without masks by accident and were also treated rudely. They were happy to comply and put masks on afterwards, as were we. Being The staff then complained about the customers in front of us. The signage in the restaurant about Covid protocols also is very patronizing, again, coming from folks who are vaxxed and happy to comply with policies when they are respectful about it.
I freakin' love their Koriente curry a! It's the stuff that other curries dream of-so flavorful and perfectly balanced with potatoes and mushroom! I come to Austin FOR this curry.
Entrees were pretty good. I liked the rice medallions and the chicken had good flavor. The miso soup was basically water with miso flavoring but it was free so whatever. Overall I'm satisfied and would recommend
Unfortunately the meal portions have been altered recently. For example a meal that used to have 4 pieces of tofu now only has 3 and less vegetables. I get it inflation is everywhere I'm paying almost 20% more for groceries.
Im giving 2 cause ive only eaten it once as a delivery from grubhub. I asked for spicy on an Obake B bowl. Theres seeds from the peppers that meh dont make it taste that great. I know thats where the heat comes from but its annoying. Once i order more items from this place my rating will be different but for now only once its 2 stars. Wish they had kimchi as a side.
The tapioca pearls were good but the drink itself was not it. The powder wasnt well mixed into the milk so there was chunks of powder and it just tasted very watered down. Agian the pearls were really good and sweet but wouldnt go back for the boba.
