Kroger, Houston TX

Okay, it’s a Kroger’s so y’all know what to expect. I like this location as it’s pretty clean but I have to say it: I don’t get paid to bag groceries and I don’t get a discount to do so. It’s not my job to bag my own food- it’s theirs! I refuse to use the self checkouts. But that’s a problem because they often have just one lane open and nobody bagging groceries there either but the cashier! Kroger’s- y’all used to be better than this. I know you want to maximize your profits but don’t do it at the cost of pissing off customers. If you’re going to make all of us bag our own groceries then I expect a discount or something. Don’t even get me started on how many employees get fired (or never hired) thanks to that damn self-checkout!

Wide variety of foods, uniformly fresh vegetables, good but not great bakery, fresh fish and seafood. A bit understaffed. Had to bag my own, last time.
Here it is, 3 years later.almost all of the above still applies. Bakery breads are EXTREMELY short-lived start to mold in a couple of days. Needs work.
Not learning from experience.

Been coming here for more than 2 years and can’t say the straps were ever there. Don’t know why establishments to fix these. I’m happy to see these in men’s restrooms though. People forget there are single fathers out there.

This store is very clean and offers a large selection of things all the staff are great hard working people and very friendly they have beautiful flowers selections and the vegetables are just as pleasant. And if they don't have what you are looking for just ask and they will pull it out of the back or order it an it's there in a few days great job! And thank you for taking extra care

I usually shop in the mornings when it’s not busy and there’s never a bagger and if there is one it’s a couple of aisles down while they watch you bag even when their line doesn’t have a customer. Might as well go to Aldi where you bag your own groceries but at least get lower prices. What really annoyed me the most was that there was management near the checkout lines and didn’t even offer to help.

0 stars to their gift card customer service reps and onsite manager. I spent over $3K in gift cards for my employees (and thousands more for employee cookouts, retirement cakes, etc). Three were bad due to a combination of fraudulent activity (in AZ) and numbers that didn't match up with their database. The onsite didn't approve the refund. The gift card CRS didn't either.

Tiffany and Perla at the customer service desk were patient and very helpful. They need more leeway to make the call to make things right for the customer. No wonder HEB is kicking their ***. The managers just lost a long time customer. Shame.

It's a good Kroger to get your prescription cheap using goodRX. It has one enterence and one exit at night. The beer selection is great and easy to access. The parking lot is big enough but looks like it used to be targeted for the local audience. It's quite busy and it's easy to get Around the store. Don't use the self check out in order to have more jobs for real people not another Machine that replaced an opportunity for someone.

If you need to get something out of a locked case don’t hold your breath. Only the Manager has a key and she takes her sweet time to get to you. I waited 30 minutes until she finally came and unlocked it with no sense of urgency.

Bad customer service I was at the self check out i had coupons and the lady who was there was been rude because I had coupons and she was ripping my bags so I dicide to leave everything bad service

Cheap gas prices and great deals on food. Employees are always helpful in finding what you need. Store is clean and always stocked.

Great Kroger location. Never had any trouble trying to find exactly what I needed for a recipe. I've also managed to find some good deals on cookware as well.

Customer Service woman with cross braids is too rude! I just asked a simple question regarding membership card, she said I told you already and ran away.

Decent Kroger, much better than the one on Shepherd. Large parking lot, good selection of bread and beer.

Just used the clicklist where you order online. Such helpful and nice employees who work well when things go wrong! They were short staffed and accommodated me for my order just in time. Will definitely be back!

This Kroger is one of the dirtiest stores l've shopped at also management needs to put in place a very STRONG policy against employees using their cell phone while on duty.

For a store in the Heights the outside was surprisingly dirty. All three trash Cana were full and trash around the ground by the store and bike racks

No cashiers in the early morning. Had to use self checkout which wasn't really self checkout because the gnagging self checkout attendant nosed his way over to my items and prissily informed me that "they wouldn't sell alcohol at 0635" Said it had to be after 0700. Poor service. Would not recommend. Don't they know its quarterfinals in the world cup?

Stock is ridiculously low after the weekend, every single week. You'd think that they would increase stock delivery, but no. Can't wait for the new HEB to open so I don't have to depend on Kroger.

This store is immaculate. It has even has prepared food galore and products backed in the store. Love it. Gas your car up too
