Grocery Store Kroger reviews
22A friend of of my wife recently purchased an Academy gift card from this store. Someone had tampered with the card and stole the money while the card was being sent to us. Both stores say it’s the others responsibility to cover this. However, the theft occurred from someone at this store. It was tampered with here and customer service has been downright unhelpful. The manager we initially spoke with was exceptionally dismissive.
Prices higher than expected. No boars head lunchmeat and cheese. No fresh deli sandwiches. I will and was impressed by the heb down street.
Rude Hispanic lady (with the winged eyeliner) working in Western Union customer service. Poor customer service skills: barely speaking and explaining transaction and ignored me for at least two minutes before assisting me.
Not a fan. Their produce is always old and looks awful. Nothing is ever fresh and they have a small selection.
The fact that they don’t have shopping carts inside or at at the door- so you have to hunt for a cart just to shop. Is not less than pathetic.
Floral Manager Jerrie Carlett is incredibly rude. She gave me and my mother a terrible attitude without us doing anything. We where casually shopping like everyone else and then she saw two unmarked jars in our cart and gave us a terrible attitude about it and created a whole sense for no reason. I think she could have talked to us a whole lot nicer to avoid this. Me and my mother left very unhappy that day.
This is a store that I really want to love. However, since the pandemic started there have been little to no measures put in place to protect staff, nor shoppers. While the cashiers are wearing masks correctly, I have yet to visit and see workers in the bakery, and stockers wearing masks correctly; they do not enforce customers wearing masks at all. Not a safe environment to shop in.
There's a mask ordinance and Kroger is allowing people in without a mask. For months now other grocery stores have been practicing safe procedures and this Kroger never seems to take care of customers or their employees. You have finally lost my business for good!
Despite what people want to believe this Kroger will never change. It’s always had bad selections and bad customer service. Good for quick items like toilet paper but other than that, keep driving, it’s not worth the headache.or potential mugging.
I only shop this Kroger location because it's convenient. They have a very poor selection (space constraints) and sale items are often out of stock. Staff is pleasant and parking is convenient.
It's a small store, but what it lacks in overall products, it makes up for in customer service. Very friendly staff, nice store to run in and out for a few items.
This is a mini-kroger of sorts. They offer every category (ie produce, deli, frozen, housewares) but in a very limited range of choices and short on deals. Presentation is also questionable. This is a fine option in a pinch but not a "go-to" for regular grocery shopping.
Too often I find expired & out of date products at this location. The store is outdated & needs desperate updating if it's going to stay open. The counter help in their "deli" section come across like you're annoying them when their help is needed. Save yourself a wasted trip & go to the larger Kroger just South.
Small older and quaint grocer in the center of the Heights. Good prices, solid service, convenient!
Terrible people working in the kitchen from the deli, I don’t know what’s wrong with those employees on the back, but talking without respect to my mom who is working with the sushi corner is totally unacceptable.well I know they shared the kitchen together, and most of them are Hispanic which is not a problem at all.my mom was the only Asian there, one of the employees kept spitting on the floor where my mom stayed which was super disgusting (imagine heavy smell of saliva for 8 hours), by the time my mom was about to fry the shrimp, one of them threw the chicken to the hot oil for deep fried, and oil was everywhere.some even flew into my moms’ arms.etc.
BEWARE this store is probably racist, It needs to have better management to manage those rude employees at the deli, there was one time that I was determined to sue an employee from the deli for burning my moms hand severely.
This store definitely needs a lot of cameras at the back in the kitchen.
This store doesn’t even derserve a star.
This Kroger is clean but you can never find a manager when you need one! It's convenience for me not preference! I like preference over convenience!
Clean and lots of choices at Kroger. Friendly customer service reps and customers who will always share a recipe.
Came here to get a few things for a party and some chapstick. Had a terrible time trying to find the chapstick in the Pharmacy area. If you're wondering, it's on the front wall (facing the entrance/exit), on the left near the corner.
Old. Needs to be refurbished. Doesn't stock enough organic produce. Very limited offerings but only store nearby so I'm eagerly anticipating the new HEB store. The staff are friendly.
I ride the bus or my bike and Kroger is so convenient for me as it's right on the bus lines. Every time I go into the Kroger store at heights and Yale streets it's never been crowded.
