Indian Restaurant Kurrywalah reviews
14We were craving butter chicken and this place had good reviews. My husband ordered it mild but it ended up being really bland and his butter chicken had only a few pieces while mine had a normal amount plus the rice portions were very skimpy which for $35 I was not pleased about. Garlic naan was good. My husband liked it so we may try again one more time and not ask for it mild to see if it makes a difference and if so I will update my rating accordingly.
So happy to finally find a really good Indian restaurant on the Northwest side of town, after several in the area had closed. Went for their lunch buffet. Saag Paneer was great, Chicken Tikka Masala, chutneys, Papadum, all quite tasty. Also had Masala Chai. I'll definitely be back.
My husband and I were very excited to have a new Indian restaurant near us. We arrived at 1: 45 for the buffet. We were turned away because they were closing soon. I noticed that the food was still on the buffet. We own a business and you serve people while your doors are open. Period. Not good dude! You lost us. We’ll go somewhere we feel valued.
We had the best service and food! D and John make you feel like you are going to a friends house for dinner. The food is made to your liking and some of the best spices we have tried. We highly recommend!
Great experience here and one of the better restaurants in the area. If you want spice they can make it happen. Ordered the chicken Kadai which was very good. The chicken was juicy and properly cooked. Well balanced flavors overall.
Fantastic dinner. The dining room's a little stark and bright with fluorescent lights but the food is fantastic. The lamb is so tender. We had the combination and it was all fantastic but the lamb was super tender. The spice levels we're excellent highly recommend. Service was superb!
Love love love coming here. I’ve been to Musaafer a few times in town and I quite honestly prefer the food here (maybe not the architecture but that’s another story). Owner and staff are all friendly and make efforts to say “welcome back” or “how have you been” indicative that they remember me and my friends or family.
Will continue to give them my business.
KurryWalah offers an exceptional Indian buffet experience in Houston, a must-visit for anyone craving authentic flavors. Their buffet selection is remarkable, including a chickpea curry that stands out for its perfectly balanced tanginess. Fresh salads complement the meal, offering a crisp contrast to the rich flavors. The chutneys add a delightful kick, with both spicy and sweet options to suit any palate. Beyond the food, the customer service is top-notch. Jonathan, in particular, ensures that every diner's experience is nothing short of perfect, checking in to see if the food meets expectations and promptly addressing any needs. For an Indian buffet that impresses both in taste and service, KurryWalah is the place to be.
So yummy. So flavorful. Lamb was tender. I almost ate all of it in one sitting. I’m a new fan, Kurrywalah.
Come for the food, stay for the conversation with Jonathan! Jonathan walked us through the buffet, explained every dish, and regularly stopped by our booth to check on us and talk all things Indian food. We’ll definitely be back!
The restaurant closes at 9pm and we were there at 7: 40, the owner or whoever he was denied seating us saying he was waiting for a big group, it was rude as we were well ahead of closing time, we felt that he was not interested in India guests
I was ignored the entire time by one of the waitress and gave me mean look which is offending that made me uncomfortable. The food was good but they need to work on their customer service skills. (first time dining in) got worst atmosphere.
A good solid Indian restaurant with a buffet option. Love the butter chicken and the dessert. Wish there were a bit more variety like lamb or dosa but it's still a good place to eat when you're hungry.
