Well hello there! While working down in South Texas in Rio Grand City, a good friend put me on to this little Mom and Pop that tucked away. La Escondida is a Great find. Homemade everything and fresh everyday. Everything is so flavorful and very affordable. I was in town a week and made several visits for breakfast and lunch. I fell in love with the barbacoa and machacado con huevo ala Mexicana. The carne guisada is awesome and best Asads tacos I’ve ever had. Never disappointed nor dissatisfied. I’ll definitely be returning much as I can.

The owner and his grown children will ensure to meet all of your expectations. Homemade tortillas, flour and corn, with real lemonade are just the start of a delicious meal.
