Gym LA Fitness reviews
23Great spot to work out, easy and convenient location. They don't have amazing access to extra water- and vending machines are cash only, but all the amenities are fantastic.
Very clean, the staff is friendly and professional. The cliental is awesome, a mixture of GOD children
The guy at the very front to the right, big muscley white dude, acts very sketchy and puffs on his vape with customers around. It's really uncomfortable.
No daycare on Friday afternoon it3's inconsistent and annoying. Why pay for child care if yall don't even have people working? Jul-9
Been to other LA Fitness with no issue. This one is horribly mismanaged. Be prepared for them to lie to you and charge you extra.
(Bonus: multiple rusted machines, missing handles for cables, bathrooms and pool are always filthy)
Basketball court’s been closed for over a month because someone broke the rim. Least they could do is reopen half of it.
Me and some buddies got guest passes online because we were looking for a new gym. We wanted to try it out, we were told to bring workout clothes and to be ready to workout when they called us ahead of time. When we got there the assistant manager gave us a tour and asked what membership we wanted. We said we wanted to workout first and she said that was not allowed, then charged us $17 each for a day pass. Don't give out guest passes if they only grant you a tour. Finding a new gym.
Pretty darn big gym with a decent lap pool. Doesn’t have all the amenities of some nicer gyms, but the price is great. Only giving 4 stars because they sometimes take a long time to fix broken equipment. Otherwise it’s a great gym and great bargain.
Well, I’ve been going to LA fitness for years the equipment is kept up decent and the weight area are always kept up and decently clean. Usually all of the equipment for running and stairs are working which is a great. The one complaint I do have is the restrooms are always disgusting and that seems to be a trend throughout all of the LA fitness facilities.
And you wonder why you're losing people to other gyms. Nobody likes to stand outside for 30+ minutes after your opening time because no one is there to open. It happens routinely. Whoever runs this place is a joke.
Do NOT sign up for personal training! It is a deceitful sales tactic. I signed up for 6 months and when I went to close it the sales guy, Zach signed me up for 12 months and now i have been battling it for over a month. They do not have any customer service at all. They won’t do anything to fix my account and when i contacted the personal trainer Levi he now “doesn’t remember” it is insane what kind of people work there and use you for their own benefit and don’t care at all.
The personal trainer assigned to me for my complimentary personal training session was very rude when I declined to sign a contract for personal training sessions. After the umpteenth decline he abruptly ran from his desk, to the elliptical and began talking to someone else. Very unprofessional and rude.
Basketball court get really crowded in the evening, and the air conditioning doesn't work half the time so that stinks big badoogies.
I like this LA Fitness! This one wasn’t as crowded when I went and people were considerate and rack the weights. It seems like everyone who was there was serious about working out.they get in and get out. Love it! Staff was nice too. It also seems like they recently replaced some of their machines because it had the all the machines that I like.tons of lower back machines, leg machines, calves, squats, shoulders.etc.
They have a good amount of equipment and are not busy early in the morning. I've never really utilized the pool facility or the showers so I'm not sure how nice they are. I would have given them a higher rating if it weren't for the climate of the gym when it gets busy. If you go from 5PM-9PM it gets extremely stuffy and smells bad.
Excellent in city location and nice staff. Good equipment, but 76 degrees for air conditioning in the south is very uncomfortable. When the classes are full it’s closer to 78 degrees with no air circulation. Would be a great club but Lifetime May be a better choice, since Airconditioner is usually not included with workout. It’s Dallas, not Monterey, CA.
Restrooms are a huge mess all the time, having such a big crowd coming through those doors you would thing that would be a priority
Club is Pretty nice, no major complaints. Not quite as nice as Lifetime Fitness when I had my membership there.but it's also HALF the price. Gym Equipment is in working order most of the time. Jacuzzi is down once or twice a year but bathrooms are usually clean.
Staff should put in some air fresheners in the locker rooms. Wish the club was open until 10pm on the weekends too - for working / traveling Adults. Good overall value for the money.
Great gym but worst gym management. They tricked me on changing the membership type from a normal plan to a family plan and asked me to pay all the initiation and other bunch on fees again, in return promised to refund me fees I paid for the previous normal membership. Its been 5 months and I haven’t got a penny.
Once my wife left her phone on a cardio machine in the gym. I called them to check if its there. The cardio machine is literally 3 steps from the front desk. The guy answered rudely that its not my duty and you should come to the gym to check it. After insisting he just stated that he looked and it wasn’t there.
I am glad I left the gym. The facilities are good it is just lead by a horrible staff.
Beware of coming in January. A south korean basketball team comes everyday and floods the gym. Good for them for coming to train but they really take up more than half the gym. It's really becoming a disturbance and makes me want to switch gyms.
