Gym LA Fitness reviews
19 Ø Stars.
Decent gym. I wouldn't qualify this to be any different then their non signature gyms. In fact those have a bit more happening minus the towels. Worst customer service. They don't know how to smoke back at you. They are passively rude. They only talk to you if you owe them something like a fee or if they have an issue with you. Hilarious. God forbidden the customer paying for membership have a complaint. They are not valid at any LA Fitness. Customer service is dead last to this business.
I am visiting from out of state. Which I have multi club nation wide access + bring a friend. But apparently that doesn't qualify for a "Signature" gym. Even though they have their HIIT and hot yoga room closed. And also only have one functioning water fountain. There's nothing "Signature" about this place at this time but yet they have the audacity to charge a $5 fee for entering this established. I visited several times before I found out via email that I was being charged. I later found out from LA Fit corporate that the individual gym is the one who charges for this fee. Which they never mentioned to me until my most last visit. Then is when I called corporate. Roberto in Oregon told me, "they are in the access business not amenities". I asked for a refund for those fees and to allow me temporary access while I am in town. He said he would give a refund but they suggested I upgrade to another plan. That he was "sorry for the the miscommunication but your plan is for multi club and multi state. Just not Signature. " This is so stupid. Considering in a 3 mile radius I have a Signature and Esporta. I would have to drive 8+ miles about 18-20 mins (without traffic) to go to a gym.
The bigger the company gets, the less customer service and customer satisfaction matters. That is so disappointing. This world is going done the drain. They won't last long. Same on you LA Fitness.
Nice gym, clean facility, nice assistant. Special thanks for the general manager, a great gentleman, understanding and helpful.
The manager DJ was awesome and made us feel really welcomed. The facilities were top of the line with everything you could ever need for your fitness and health goals. Id recommend you check it out! Great staff and nice community atmosphere
This is one of the finest la fitness branch in DFW area. Staffs are friendly gym is clean and doesn't smell, equipment are advanced and not too much people where you have to wait for everything like other branches nearby. The only thing I don't find over there is the streaching equipments before the workout. Except that everything is awesome.
Unprofessional management (Alex, Leo). Failed to provide the service as promised during joining LAfitness. They try hard to get you enrolled into the membership plan and professional trainer program promising to provide the service, but they failed to do that.
Great experience so far! Super clean gym, friendly staff from the front desk to the Manager (Terry), the Trainer Manager (Max) and my personal trainer, Ricky. I feel really supported in my health journey which is not something I've felt at other gyms. Lots of equipment and a variety of classes.
This is a Signature Location! What that means is towels for showers. One floor of what appears to me more exercise equipment options. Loved loved it Go Took spin class it wS awesome. SPOTLESS
The workout equipment was in great condition, and the facility was nice. The only downside was the men's bathroom was pretty dirty, and trash everywhere.
I have been a member with la fitness off and on for years. I didn’t know they had a signature club. When I asked what the cost was it’s an additional $5.00 but wheee I am upset is they were going to make me give another deposit. WHY? I am am never at Lifetime and if I want to upgrade I just pay the difference. This is absolutely unacceptable.
This place is a place to recommend is clean organized the staff is very friendly the equipment is up to date and it's not broken the pool is warm and the and the whirlpool is awesome I highly recommend
Their AC stopped working, and I have health issues that prohibit me from working out in the heat or I can get really sick. I called in the Coppell gym to see if it would be possible for them to make an exemption to call another LA Fitness near by to request they give me access for the day. Their response: “No you don’t have the multi membership. ” I insisted these were excruciating circumstances. By not having AC in a hot Texas summer and my own health issues, they were not providing a safe environment nor providing a customer experience to work with me on a solution of some sort. The best the employee could say: ” maybe you can try going and seeing if they accept you but I doubt it. ” I asked if there was a way she could at least try calling them, explaining the situation, and seeing if another local affiliated LA Fitness could accept me for the day. The answer was not. Didn’t offer to call, didn’t offer to help, didn’t really care. She had a unique situation and she handled it as if I am the one that broke the AC, and I was being unreasonable simply asking for adequate safe accommodations for the day. I am considering canceling my membership this week over that poor experience. I am also looking at my options to escalate this issue in writing to their senior executive team. Just disappointed and quite irritated at the apathy.
Have been going since they opened, great selection of newer equipment, pool is 3 lanes and has a decent crowd, so plan accordingly, hiit (high intensity interval training) classes and trainers are great and always adding new workout varieties! Free spinning classes, I hope they bring their free towel service back soon, also need to make use of their empty room (formerly hot yoga). Probably the best gym in the area from my experience.
I wish I can give less then 1 star. Worst staff. They don't know the policies and rules of there own gym. They will lie to you so that we can enroll in gym. Every staff will lie and will never agree to other staff. Worst place to go.
The place reeks of fraud! They hire trainers who sign you into contracts and draw money out despite you notifying them to cancel your training. Then when you are on to their scams, they move the trainers to other locations to repeat the process. This particular trainer named Jason Taj (they let him go now) pursued me aggressively to sign up for sessions and when I did, he would either ask me to come to a different location and surprise me by putting with another trainer or not give me an option. Also he never disclosed that he was charging me for half hour sessions.shady.as is the whole company. I got $200 back for the $400 I disputed; they still owe me $200, I called the company manager Casey and she was unwilling to put that towards, say, HIIT classes just so I can feel that the company took care of me. But no! Apparently they don’t care about customer relationships. So.folks.take your money elsewhere or bring a lawyer to read the contracts you’re signing. Because this company does not care about you, period.
Not wearing masks during a set is more healthy. Those of you in here complaining about no masks enforcement is WHY I chose LAF over a competitor. There is a rise in oxygen deprivation cases due to the overuse of masks. I have a paramedic friend and my family doctor say we SHOULD go maskless while exercising as they have seen others suffer and check in hospitals for oxygen deprivation reasons. Use common sense, folks. Wear them while moving around between sets but breathe the free air while exercising
LA Fitness Coppell and their corporate partner Pro Results are FRAUDS. Now, I am not talking about the employee personnel on the floor, as they are professional and attentive. Beware and Be Warned, if you sign a fitness contract with these people and facilitate payment through a credit card, they will STEEL your money. We, La Fitness and I, executed a 12 month contract in November 2018. There was no extension or additional contract signed. However I find out a year after the contract in November 2020 LA Fitness and Pro Results withdrew over $6,000 from my account. Yes, this is during the Covid-19 pandemic too. No calls and no responses from LA Fitness and Pro results. I have to work through the credit card company to attempt resolution.
The gym is well maintained and clean but there is no enforcement of the mask guidelines so I have stopped going there. I have mentioned it to multiple employees but nothing ever changes. It may be time to contact the corporate office,
Best gym I've been to! Got hooked up with Alex most knowledgeable person I've met and he got me on an awesome training package! I'm telling all my friends
They have cut way back on the hours but didn’t cut back on my dues. Lots of people not wearing masks recently. If they stayed open to the original hours it would spread out the people.
