Gym LA Fitness reviews
17Some of the front desk staff need to be told to actually acknowledge customers and check the wipe dispensors when cleaning staff isn't there. Also, the new wipe dispensors are terrible. Like, almost a reason not to join. Dryer sheets with spit on them.
Once you enrole you can’t cancel your membership. If you visit them to cancel they will say come in office hours or manager is not available.
Been a few years since I’ve been back in a commercial gym. I go in the mornings and always plenty of machines open and room to get work done! Great place!
Not impressed with the management at the gym. Basketball court is constantly closed, the hack squat machine has been broken for weeks, and none of the ceiling fans work.
Don help me activate a pass and we didn’t have to wait no time and the place is very clean and every employee is very nice and if you live in the area I consider a membership
Great clean facility. They have the best equipment In the area. Glad we signed up because we enjoy our new club and if anyone wants a membership, I’d ask for Don. He took good care of me and my family. Wasn’t pushy like other sales guys. Thank you Don for everything.
Big size swimming pool, A+. Temperature in the gym is perfect for workout. They need to add Olympic power lifting floor, bumper weights, and barbells since there is plenty of space not utilized on the floor. Replace or fix those rowing machines they are too hard to pull on. I have never use hard pulling rowing machines at the other gyms. Some of the machines need to be greased, regular maintenance is required. Overall score for the gym is A.
Place does Exactly what I need it to do in my workouts. Has all the equipment needed, the staff is great, what much more do you want? One thing I can suggest is maybe to focus on the cleaning of the bathrooms a bit.
I really like LA Fitness as a gym franchise and all. I'm a little disappointed in the amenities offered at this location. There is no child care or sauna. The basketball court was finally repaired after months of closure. They have a lap pool, cycling, and studio space. That's basically it, I had high hopes for LA I guess!
Sanitizer station is few and always used up but not refilled
* watch out, the cancellation process is extremely difficult, in order to make people have difficulty to cancel membership
I hit the sweet spot on timing. Every machine was open and got a a good workout and then I took a swim and did some laps
One of the dirtiest restrooms ever in a gym… looks like the clean it once week. A gym toilet needs to be cleaned everyday. Owners are just skimping trying to save money… will call it penny wise pound foolish!
Be Careful with the personal trainer program. They will sell it to you and make it very uncomfortable and shady process. Once you sign up you will have to pay for the whole program or half if you wanna cancel. Even when I said I was only in town on the weekends they told me it would be no problem. Now I have paid 560 dollars for 2 months and have not even gotten one session. Please be careful. Do not feel bad saying NO to them.
The two LA Fitness locations in Round Rock need to keep up with cleaning and maintenance of their facilities and equipment. Other than that, they are great.
Got a membership mainly for the basketball court and it has been closed for more than a month with nothing being repaired or replaced.
The place is infested with crickets as well.
After we signed up for a gym membership they high pressure sold us on a personal trainer session, pulling all sorts of car-salesman levels of pressure to get it. I broke down and agreed to a six month membership for my wife since she said she liked it. The sessions weren't great but weren't bad, except they changed her trainer like 4 times in 6 months because the trainers kept quitting. After the months were up I canceled the session, despite them trying to pull the "the person who can change accounts is on break" for over an hour. Then I found out four months later they had still been charging me for sessions equaling near $1000.
Joined a personal training class for six months. I get changed the trainer on me at 4 month mark and I have to basically start from scratch. Did not let me get out of their 6 month contract. They are horrible at retaining their trainers, which leads to a lot of churn. Do NOT do personal training with them. It is a waste of money.
