La Hacienda reviews
14Hands down, the best shrimp and beef fajitas I've ever had. The service was awesome as well. Mango margarita was on point.
Good food, Mole was nice I had barbacoa it was good but needed some white onions not red and limes but I ate it all. Don't see why it had some bad reviews we had a great lunch chips were good salsas were good, wait staff and host all polite. Hidden Gem in the Height
The food was good, the margarita had a cheap tequila flavor, and the service needs a lot of attention.
Houston is filled with a huge array of Mexican restaurants most of them pretty good. Each has its distinctive salsa or tortillas. Some serve lots of fish dishes; some none at all. Some multi-page menus; some excel at a few dishes. From this ocean of choices, our favorite is La Hacienda. It is just a bit off the beaten track, the only restaurant on West 26th Street. It is authentic Mexican food at a very reasonable price.
The interior is really special, it is almost like being in a cafe in Mexico with soaring ceilings, bright colors and clattering dishes. The service is special, too, with Adan, Jordan and Gilberto, they always make us feel welcome and remember what we usually order.
I love the Chicken tortilla soup with loads of shredded chicken and squash. It always tastes fresh and is a generous portion. My husband typically gets the Caldo de Res which is loaded with beef and fresh vegetables. They even serve me a side of carrots which is not on the menu.
My usually non-drinking husband always leaves happy, for he can't resist the really unique frozen jalapeño margaritas-no salt, with cherries. They are delicious and pack a Tequila punch!
This was my first time eating at this restaurant. I had the tacos Al carbon. They were good which I recommend. However the customer service was not the best. Seemed like they were bother, upset and had an attitude all the time. Their sparkling water tasted like unfiltered water, when I returned it, they never mentioned they had closed bottles of topo chico. We still left $15.00 tip but I will never be back to this place.
We were a party of 40 people from Church, food and drinks and service was excellent, we will be back Thank You
First time eating here tonight and I must say this was THE BEST fajitas I've ever ate. They were so tender and flavorful. The atmosphere was beautiful and the price was great. I will be going back soon.
Such a great place for Mexican food. Great service and very layed back place to go to relax and have a great meal.
Worst service and food I have ever experienced! Don't bother if you can not speak Spanish!
Food and atmosphere were good, waitstaff friendly. Service was slower than usual, however they did have a very large to go order they were pushing out (4 or 5 large brown paper bags full).
We've driven past a dozen times and the place is always rocking on Fridays.
Took the kids for dinner on a Thursday.
Huge menu choice, fun atmosphere, lovely staff.
It will become a regular!
Not a bad spot, the waiters were extremely assertive to our patronage experience. A lot of detail work on the inside to make you fell your in a small Mexican village, okay portions, would go back again
Love it! Stopped for dinner. Great hideaway so you have to Google it. Worth the experience. Food is authentically amazing with great quality detail. Staff works hard to ensure customer is enjoying their time. Don't hesitate to tip waiting staff. Especially the tortilla lady who deserves her own tip for rolling out those good Mexico tasting flour tortillas. They are rolled right in front of you. Great idea guys!
The food is good at normal prices. I come here often and noticed the waiters tend to make mistakes on the orders, about 3 out of 10 times they have to make a correction after the food had been made. Good atmosphere though.
