Restaurant la Madeleine reviews
17Delicious as always. The server was especially nice and understanding when I got my soul with bacon in it and I told him I don't eat meat. He quickly replaced it with no complaints. He went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed.
Special thank you to GM Gloria and crew for taking care of our big order today. Everyone got what they ordered and the food was delicious. I feel you all went above and beyond to ensure we had a positive experience. Thank you so much! We will definitely be back!
We dined in this afternoon and the service was great, but the food was not. My plate was served luke warm and my hubbies sandwich was blah.
We noticed that it took a really long time for everyone to receive their orders. We were both rather disappointed as we paid a good price for what we thought would be a good meal.
It's not what it used to be. My sister asked for a Caesar salad, and it was the worst presentation that she ever seen, no croutons, no Parmesan cheese, a few dressing and the chicken didn't look good at all, she didn't touch it and my tomato basil soup was cold. We used to like to go there but this time it was a deception, definitely the best are at Northwoods shopping center & Huebner Oaks Center.
Exceptional food and service. I use the app which is easy to navigate and often has great offers. Since Covid many restaurants have limited selections and uncaring staff. La Madeleine Broadway has been 99.9% perfect. The meals are a welcome change from fast food. Bravo!
It was good but the eggs were a little bit salty. The place is very cozy. Hopefully next time that I go it will be less salty.
The quiche with spinach ordered this morning June 29,2021. My wife and I were in a hurry to eat some breakfast so we could attend a funeral. We got the funeral so we could have something to eat before we went inside. So we ate in the car. My wife was complaining because it was too much pepper. I gave her mine and took i took a look at the crust. There was a layer of pepper on the crust. This is unexceptionable, and unable to eat. We did not have the time to return or we would have.
What makes this place shine are the servers. Sometimes behind the counter staff can be so busy that customer service can fall a bit. When the servers bring the food out they make up for it. They have 2 All-stars in my opinion. First is this older gentleman of Mexican descent (forgive me if that is the wrong terminology) who is always helpful and has awesome corny funny jokes. Then there's Maria always wanting to leave folks in a good mood and not to worry.
When Covid was affecting business one reason we came back was the food and the servers. I remember seeing one of my favorite servers outside waving the sign around after everything was gradually opening up. Despite a nearly empty parking lot, he had an uplifting energy that even for a moment we forgot about the heaviness of life. Just for a moment they provide good food and a mental break with kindness. We've been coming for years and as long as these folks are still there, we will continue.
The turkey bistro sandwich was amazing. I wish having a French theme that they had a better wine selection. But overall, it was like a French panera but with better bread.
This will always be my number one place to go, no matter what time of the day. I don't have one locally so it's a must stop anytime i find one. Whether it is just for dessert, a cup of coffe, a glass of wine, or an actual meal. LOVE La Madeleine's!
I got a sandwich and salad that was to freaking good. I didn't realize that the mango tea was unsweetened but it was still good. All in all very happy, customer service was awesome and the food came out very quickly.
French cuisine isn't something I get much exposure to. It was a very nice experience. The employees there were very nice and answered any questions we had without making us feel rushed. The coffee was awesome as well as the desserts. Just an overall good dining experience.
I’ve been going here since I was a kid at Heights, Great selection, great food, just don’t eat it every day for a few years like I did LOL.very convenient location.
I just moved nearby and saw it had good ratings so I went there with my family. Pretty much everything was disappointing. You have to order at the counter and they bring it out to your table. That day apparently you couldn’t order eggs over easy (?). The server just kept muttering to herself while walking around, and we couldn’t understand her when she spoke to us. The food wasn’t good. The coffee was bland and cold. My avocado toast was so bad- it was one piece of store bought bread with a thin smear of avocado and nothing else. They forgot to give my brother his pastry, and his meal was essentially a few eggs. The only redeeming factor for me was the nice fireplace, but gosh, I can get that at home!
Nice atmosphere! -There's a fireplace as soon as U walk-in & that's because I just had breakfast there! U have to walk to the back-left of the inside & go order, sit down afterwards & they'll bring you your order to your table. They usually close at 8pm.
My favorite la Madeleine location ever, and I've been to lots. There is one waitress in particular, an older hispanic lady, who is a ray of sunshine. Seriously the nicest waitress ever. I will update this review when I remember her name, but I think it's Maria. She's so sweet and helpful and makes every visit great. I've been coming to this location for almost a decade now. LOVE IT.
What an adorable delicious place to eat on a ladies day out! And the tarts are soooo delicious an cuteeee. This place makes my soul happy
