Restaurant la Madeleine reviews
17Hands down best bakery in austin! I love their chocklate cake, praline and cheesecake.everything is made fresh and tastes yummy
Absolutely worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. I walk in the girl at the Togo area asks my name and literally shoves my food at me and rolls her eyes. Proceeded to treat every to go customer with the same disdain. Why is she wearing headphones working customer service? I will never spend another dime here.
It had been a long time since eating at la Madeleine; but it's s-o-o good. Gotta come back soon.
Bugs in seats at this location. I was horrified to find what looked like bed bugs in my seat. One is pictured below. Manager and one other employee did not care even when I showed them the picture of the bugs. Would not remove chair or block off table from use. Contacted health department and reached out to La Madeline corporate. Completely unacceptable. This place should be closed down until a proper cleaning is done. Massive public safety concern.
Great service and friendly staff! Food is wonderfully delicious. I hadn’t been to a La Madeleine location in several years and decided to try it out again. Was not disappointed. Can easily be seen from nearby roads. Plenty of parking. Inside and outside dining available.
The food was barely warm. I was hoping it was still good. But. Went there for crepes, left with upset stomach. Never again.
Could.have been better. The coffees were cold. Asked server for fresh coffee but all they did i believe was reheat it. The sandwich was also not the best for the money. Was expecting the bun to be warm and toasted but was not as for the chips, bothing special about them. Even the potato soup was mediocre warm. Will not be returning to this establisment.
I moved out Austin years ago. My wife wanted to return to la Madeleine for the tomato soup. I remember the place different and cozy. This visit was completely different, more cold despite the personnel was very helpfull.
I loved the crepes, except that they added chocolate to the top of my strawberries and creme. But they were still good!
Had my order ready they just didn’t feel like handing it over for a while.waited for no reason while customers who came in after me got served.
We really liked this restaurant! Here you can have a very tasty breakfast and you will have a wide range of dishes.
Quiche Lorraine was perfect, very-very delicious, I definitely recommend to try it. Quiche is big, so I recommend to order it for two people. They have a wide selection of breakfasts with croissants. Croissants and pastry were fresh and tasty. Napoleon was soft and interesting in taste because it differs from the classic recipe. It was good but the upper part - vanilla fondant icing was a bit too sweet for me.
We’ve only eaten in store once, but we have done pickup orders and delivery pretty regularly. Hands down my favorite fruit tarts that I’ve tried! And the coconut cake is absolutely delicious. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with any of the bakery items, and the chicken la Madeline and chicken pesto pasta are also super tasty!
Very disappointed by everything I ordered. From the freshly baked baguette, to the potato pancake, to the napoleon cake. The standard is really sub-par. Won't try this place again.
Love the rice, mashed potatoes, baslamic chicken, pesto pasta, soups. Just wish they had a bigger menu selection.
They used to serve i think shrimp pilaf rice and cordon bleu pasta (idk how the exact names or how to spell ok) and they were SO good.but for whatever reason they don't serve them anymore
they're always out of regular cheesecake everytime i go or do they even make it anymore? LOL
Absolutely the nicest little spot to have a peaceful sit down. Staff is always attentive and the quality you can always count on. The manager is always available and joyful.
This place is trashy. Never have food ready. Worst customer service. Specifically Bella.
Just tried to get corporates number but the manager apparently doesn't have access to that info.
