Ok so like this place is a GEM. You need to support this place, it is so.tasty. I have been coming here since I was a kid and it’s some of the best food in Denton. Underrated and idky?

If you're looking for a Mexican restaurant in Denton that is more authentic Mexican than Tex-Mex.look here! Their tacos are amazing (especially the al pastor) and the pozole is just like I had in Mexico City. The server and owner are as kind as can be and it's a fantastically authentic experience with amazing food.

The food is delicious! And the service is pretty good too. It's not just any Mexican restaurant, there they have Sazón de casa mexicana.

A very interesting and fun experience for all those who want to enjoy authentic Mexican food and a family atmosphere.

Authentic Tex Mex, great place to go for breakfast! Coffees good, food’s great, and that’s coming from my RGV family! Definitely coming again.

Mom and pop place the guy serving the staff spoke little English but he knew the menu and he was very friendly and helpful! We didn’t get great pictures of the food because we started eating. It was really good! Prices were fair and the chips were amazing! I would go back! We ordered tostadas, torta, and nachos!

This restaurant is very good, we come here often because we know the food will always be good and it’s not expensive. The server is always very nice. It’s a fairly small room, but it’s not usually too full. The parking is a bit difficult because it’s a very small, tight area.

Food is homemade and taste better than any Texmex chain. It’s also cheap and the staff are super friendly.

I'm very confused how there are so many good magazines? I went and I was the only person there. The food is not good, my wife cooks better. The bathroom is very dirty. The tables are chewy. This is not Mexican food. This food is Tex Mex but if you are looking for Tex Mex Rosas Cafe it is better and it will cost you the same or less than the food here.

Yummy yummy, delicious. Everytime I eat the Camarones a la diabla I feel like a dream come true! They're Soo delicious, and really spicy. They' re especially for people who likes spicy. Overall it's yummy. I do recommended it.

My husband and I are big queso fans. We tried la Mexicana on a trip and found one of our favorite quesos ever! As other reviews have said, there is a language barrier so just expect that. Si entiende un poco de español, you’ll be fine. Our Spanish is awful and we did not have an issue. Give this little place a try and tip well!

Went for "the highest rated" tamales in Denton.they don't sell tamales at all. Decided to order some items from the menu.everything is deep fried including the sides.

This place reminds me of growing up. I spent a LOT of time at my best friend's house (still close friends 40 years later). Their mom and dad were from Mexico. She always had fresh tortillas and the best food especially beans. This place took me right back there. So thank you for that. It's not fancy just good food!

Went to lunch here and had a wonderful experience. Service was prompt, food was tasteful, and the building was homey. Will be back!

The food is delicious and the price is unbelievable for the amount of food that we got! I recommend everyone to come down and enjoy real authentic tacos!

Got to come ready for the language barrier, but by God it is worth it. By far the best Spanish food I've had this year

Little Tio type restaurant, kinda like mom and pop but being run by a sweet Tio. Food is authentic and tasty. Service was really great even the day after Thanksgiving. Glad we gave it a try. We left with super satisfied bellies.

We love this place. We ate here again today and it was so good. Never fails us. Not sure about take out or delivery. Who knows.

We arrived at 6 on a Saturday evening so not real busy. Good reviews and a weathered, faded sign got us in. Our waiter was wonderful and we are watching now how he tends to his patrons. I suspect they are regulars. The food was delicious. Minimum of three tacos in an order. These in picture are tacos barbaccoa. Cooked perfectly with the right amount of cilantro. The carne asada was well seasoned and full of flavor. The restaurant is clean including bathrooms. Happy we found this restaurant.
