I took my dog in on Dec 14,2023, Upon
Picking him up he looked good, he was acting a little weird on the ride home he loves to hang out the window. He refused and winned all the way home. I had to head back to work, I dropped him off at home, once my daughter got home she told me something was wrong with his left eye. She said he could barely open it. When I got home I flushed his eye out. It was blood shot red in the otter corner. I had to wait to contact Sebastian the next day, he told me to bring him back in. Also that it was probably shampoo but this didn’t look like shampoo it looked like he’d been poked in the eye or something. (What I forgot to mention is that this happened the previous visit also, it was the right eye that time). That time I flushed his eye out and it was fine the next day. That may have been shampoo, my dog had a Mobile groomer previously, and we never had anything like that happen. I told him I wasn’t bringing him back in, and for him to ask the groomer what happened and I’d keep him posted. He told me he’d call me back later that day, he never did. I called him the following day he said he still hadn’t spoke with him and would call or text me once he had. I never received any calls or responses from Sebastian. It took my dog eye 3-4 days to recover. I was very saddened by this because they did and amazingly job at the grooming but I feel that they are miss handling the dogs or getting to close to their eyes when grooming. I’m not sure because I wasn’t ever given an explanation or an apology! Needless to say, I have to find a new groomer again my previous groomer moved out the area so if you plan to bring your dog here, proceed with caution! Also, read the yelp reviews because a similar thing happened to another lady and her dog. I hadn’t read this prior to my incident. I added a picture it’s not the best because he wouldn’t let you get close to it.

I've brought my 2yo Bernedoodle here about every 6-8 weeks for about a year and a half now. She always leaves happy and looking great. Friendly staff, reasonably priced.

It took us some time to find a good groomer for our husky. Found la pawz and have been brining him there for the last two years; they always do a great job taking care of him and always accommodate us. Highly recommended

Me and my wife have been coming to LaPawz for around two years. Being customers for that long I would have expected at least a refund. I took my chow chow there and wanted her to get a trim. The dog is now completely shaved, I mean completely. She is very delicate to the sun due to cancer and this is a very bad situation for her. She is now exposed to UV rays which cause skin cancer. I said a cut and I was shown a pad of dog-hair length and was advised to choose a length. I chose the middle length on the pad and was then advised a different length is better for the chow chow then the one I selected because they have more hair. I agreed to that because that sounds right. The previous notes on the chow-chow were never referenced by the grooming experts. I was given very poor advice, as a double-coated dog like a chow should never be shaved. I did not even know that as the Chow Chow was my wife's before we married. I never asked for the dog to be completed shaven based on the recommendation to choose the higher length. The advice I was given was that the longer length on the pad would be better for a chow chow, and I ended up with a completely shaved chow chow that definitely does not look like the length from the pads. I suspect that the middle length on the pad is unachievable for a double coated dog and so the groomer may have just shaved the dog entirely. After rushing back home to work, I tried asking multiple times for a refund and was only offered free cuts next time. But the dog literally has no hair, and it may not grow back. Instead of good customer service, for a long time customer, refunding the $100.00 would have been the best thing to do since I was not given good advice. I am not a grooming expert they are. In addition, they claim they will always do whats best for the dog even against the expressed wishes of the owner. A completely shaved chow chow is not what is best for the dog.

I took my dog Aslan on June 25 for a bath and a hair and nail cut. They didn't cut her nails, they didn't use a good shampoo and her ears were dirty. I find it disrespectful to pay $100 so that they don't do what is paid for.now I must cut nails at home and repeat the bath.

First time here and I was not disappointed. They did a great job and the entire process was super easy. I truly recommend them!

This place is ok. I've had better grooming. However, Sabastian was very nice. The groomer knicked (cut) my dogs leg, not a bad cut, but it still doesn't help when they're already nervous. And I didn't expect that from a "professional" and the style was extremely plain.
