La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Lubbock - Downtown Civic Center

Traveling through after back surgery. I walked the hotel floors and hallways. Employees very nice, breakfast was barely ok. We went to a Denny's later. Our room smelled like old cigarettes. Bed and pillows great, bathroom perfect.

Rooms reeked of cigarettes. Walls had holes. Lights bulbs not working. Unvacuumed floors. Dirty walls. By far the worst place I've ever stayed in. NO. I will not give you another try.

No TV, internet service since we checked in and Noone willing to check.pictures dramatize the way in looks. Under construction

Place was horrible and super dirty. First room we got pillows did not have pillow cases and they were stained. Requested a non smoking room and that placed smelled like they had a smoking party in there. Got moved to another room and carpet was stained and the “white” towels were stained aswell. Will not recommend and will never stay here again.

Website lied: No pool at this hotel. Desk staff lied about the dismal breakfast. Room was dirty. Grounds were filthy. I have recently stayed at two Baymonts and both had massive cleanliness problems. I figure that this is a Windham/ Baymont corporate proble.

This was one of the WORST places we have ever stayed. Only a sheet on the beds, bathroom door wouldn't close, bathtub was filthy, front door had screws holding it together, and the sheetrock around the door was exposed from an animal digging into it. STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE!

My original detailed review of the filthy room was removed. I stand by my comments. I had asked for a different room after seeing this one and was refused.

Rooms sucked. No trash cans, the TV was sketchy, the air kept freezing even on the settings they told us to keep it on Just so it wouldn't freeze. We went to three different rooms until one finally worked. Told them I needed a ground floor access. With two beds, they gave me a one bed and told me I never said two beds when I specifically did. The room bathroom floor had some slippery substance all over it, and the bed had a dirty print on it from a dogs paw. Ashes from smokers behind the bathroom door (non smoking room). They tried to charge for a 2b room for the 1bedroom they tried to put us in. All in all if I could I would give -5 stars. It's horrible. Really wasn't worth the money spent. Demand a refund.

The stay was ok considering my first room was infested with flies, no toilet paper and the lights over the vanity and the lights between the beds were burned out.

Worst motel experience ever. First off I where put in three different rooms either the TV didn't work or it was just filthy. It was a black guy at the front desk with the most disgusting, and disrespectful attitude. No professionalism at all. I don't want to to go into detail, because the story on him is absolutely tragic. I walked in on him cursing at a guest. Asking her what do you want me to do about it and she calmly asked for a clean room. He Gets upset with her and just got irrate. I asked his name He response (D) I asked him his his last name he's again States (D) Of course he was lying. I told him I was calling corporate and report his behavior towards guest he said to call em they know me. Morral to the story is if you reading this and you want the worst experience of your stay. This is the place for you. You e been warned.

If I could give no stars, I would! After checking in and getting to our room, we found it to be semi clean, there were no pillows, blankets, towels, or even light bulbs in lamps. Went to office to check on this and we were moved into another room. Still no blankets or towels and the TV was disconnected. The AC was semi working. Pool is not available, covered or being renovated. Pictures online were all lies!
Whoever owns this property needs to seriously put effort into fixing the place up! Not worth what we were charged!

Service was excellent, the rooms were not clean at all. We found a bar of soap in our bedding and a wad of used toilet paper in the sheets as well. Samson was very kind and helpful as well as the young man that worked night shift. He had long braids. Both of them were very kind and friendly

I love this hotel.the staff is great and my favorite part! D at the front desk is amazing! Mr. Ralph is absolutely delightful. The maintenance man Brian is one helluva hardworking helpful individual. Ms. Nicole keep these rooms on point! Y'all keep up the good work

The guy at check in was really friendly and helpful no issues whatsoever with that. Walked into the room and there was a really bad smell in the room. I ended up spraying cologne to try to cover up the scent. Upon further investigation I saw that the staff dropped some of the laundry beads in the ac vent to try to cover the smell but it didn't work. My daughter and I had trouble breathing inside the room because of the smell, dust and whatever else was in the vent. The wifi didn't work. I went to the front desk for change to use the vending machine and was told it didn't work and to go to Walmart. One of the beds had stains on the sheets and the bathtub hadn't been properly cleaned. We were in town for Texas tech graduation and every other room in town was booked. I would not recommend at all

They refuse to give me my deposit back the rooms was a mess had to move rooms 3 times one cause the sink was backed up two cause the beds had blood stains 3 cause the TV didn't work then they steal my phone am refuse to give it back

The most dirtiest rooms you can ever find, lots of stains on the carpet, hair everywhere, dirty towels, sinks don’t drain, dust every where, some lights don’t turn on, and it’s pretty expensive too. Really a terrible experience.

The one Pro: Staff was nice
Cons: Very unsafe area, loud at night. Cleaning is not happening, I asked to be removed from my first assigned room due to pet hair in bed, non-cleaned bathroom, questionable stains and fear of bedbugs. Second room was still dirty (slept on top of the bed in full clothes), still dust and dog hair, smelled like smoke) but better-ish. No deadbolt on door but a chair was present that I could use to push up against the door. Hotel exterior also run down. Pool area extremely run down, everywhere past the lobby looks pretty dilapadated. There is NO WIFI, it does not work. I used my own hotspot the entire time. When I checked in, I was very unhappy and called around in hopes of getting into the doubletree or the super8, but was unable to get a room in either (no vacancy at double tree, no one answering at super8). My recommendation: go anywhere else. The staff was nice, but I felt so unsafe and uncomfortable during my stay and was there on business so couldn't call my trip short.

I've stayed in many hotels, but this has been by the worst. Hair in the sink, light switch cover is missing, sheets on the bed only, etc.

Don't stay here! Bed bugs were in my husband's room in the renovation part of the establishment! My husband and I had to contact corporate to get a refund because the staff and manager were nonchalant and less than helpful until we went higher up.
Honestly, they didn't seem surprised, and to top it off, this location seems like a high drug use area. Honestly they give LaQuinta a bad rep!

Well you get what you pay for. Asked for extra pillows and it took hours to get them, I have stayed here before and this by far was the worst stay. There was wax on the floor by the bed, hmm think I know why. The floor was not clean.
