La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Monahans

Could not get a receipt on check out, people are untrained, and when I try to get a email later in the day they they just blow you off. Day shift is lazy and rude, need some new blood starting with management.

Very nice stay. It was above and beyond what I'd normally think of a hotel. Very nice lady at the desk the day o checked in.

The staff are always friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean. We stay here whenever we need a place to stay in Monahans. Rene cooks a good breakfast and is such a sweet person.

This property has declined significantly. We stay here when visiting family frequently and will no longer stay here. The staff is rude and seems inconvenienced by the inconvenience and lack the property has for guests. The toilet wasn’t working properly, the room smelled terrible, the air barely worked. The amenities and features in the rooms are down to bare minimum. It does the job if you just need somewhere to lay your head down.

This hotel was a total disaster. Despite repeatedly asking for room cleaning, they just ignored us. The shower didn't work, and the smoke alarm dangled perilously from the ceiling. The breakfast was barely passable. To make matters worse, the room was so filthy it puts even 3-star hotels to shame. Definitely my worst hotel experience ever.

Super comfy bed! The biggest reason I don't like hotels anymore is I'm spoiled with an adjustable base Tempur Pedic type bed at home. If the bed isn't comfy and I don't sleep and wake up sore, I'm no good the next day. This hotel bed. I wanted to stay in bed all day! The staff is super helpful and friendly. The breakfast staff saved food in case anyone needed to eat and missed breakfast. I'm a late riser and usually miss breakfast and always told sorry, it was over at 9. She saved the food for people like me. So nice! The refrigerator in the room doesn't have a freezer section. That was my only complaint but the front desk staff allowed me to put my ice packs for my cooler in their freezer for the day I left the hotel for another town. Nice pool but be careful, the steps are slippery and the rail is loose.

We have always loved La Quinta hotels, especially after all the remodels they have done to their hotels in recent years, and have always been pleased with our stays. But unfortunately that was not the case with La Quinta in Monahans! We arrived to 4 staff members sitting on the benches, smoking at the front door…. Such a lovely way to be greeted. We proceeded to our room which smelled like dog pee and there were visible paw prints and stains on the couch. The floor was filthy and the walls in room looked like they had a sticky substance on them. We immediately walked back out and asked for a refund but unfortunately the staff would not give us one. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone! I know La Quinta can do better than this! Do better La Quinta, Monahans.

The breakfast was kept to a minimum cereal, waffle, oatmeal, and fruit. Nothing cooked or prepared as you would get at any place that offers breakfast. The floors were mopped in the morning, but no wet floor sign was placed out. There was no one to see us off at check out, just a basket on top of the counter. It's extremely cheap, but you won't get what is expected here.

The customer service really made this LaQuinta shine. They were happy to help with towels, and when my little one decided that 4 am was the time to be awake and we decided to go downstairs to let mom sleep now the staff gave us some breakfast foods and milk even tho it wouldn't open for another 3 hours.

The staff was happy to help and it made it easy to get at home while away.

The room was great and not too expensive. The room smelled clean when you walked in. The breakfast the next morning was decent. I really loved the Texas waffle maker!

Entered the room, there was trash in the bin. We called the front desk to let them know about it. An older lady politely came in to discard it. While in the shower I was saying to my wife, maybe we shouldn't have let the front desk know about the trash cause I wouldn't want the lady's job to be threatened, then boom soap marks/ water marks all over the glass of the shower

Excellent service. Rooms clean, well appointed, especially for a La Quinta, breakfast spread was AMAZING. Will definitely be staying here for our next trip!

Best sleep. Arrive there, the front desk lady was very nice and well spoken. Went to the truck stop next door to get a hot cooked meal. Slept like a baby for 8 hours.

Great rate. Nice sized pool open til 10. Legit breakfast in the morning. Would def stay here again.

The only issue was the water pressure in the shower. Staff is phenomenal and room was immaculate. I'll be recommending this place and staying here again. Great job everyone

This was the worst La Quinta we have ever stayed at. First the room was filthy. The microwave was not plugged in so we had to move the dresser out to plug it in. And tomour surprise the amount of trash was gross. One of the bed cover had brown stuff all over it. The bathroom wall had blood or some type of residue on it. The shower curtain had a black dirty hand print on it. And black dirty hand prints on the walls everywhere. Alone with spilt liquid allover the walls. The floor was dusty and looked like the floors had not been vacuumed or mopped in a few months. Now the complimentary breakfast was not an actual breakfast. They only serve hot food I guess during the weekdays. Well most people stay the weekends. And tomour surprise they didn't really prepare enough for Sunday morning so we had to go out for breakfast. The dining area was so dirty. The floor has not been cleaned in awhile. The trash in the hallway when we checked in Friday was still there Sunday. They just picked up the trash on top of the trash can. We only had 2 towels, 2 washcloths and the housekeeper wouldn't give us any fresh towels until we have her out dirty towels. And we were gone till 5 Saturday and still no housekeeping and we didn't have a sign out saying not to clean our room. We woke up and packed and left out for our 7 hour drive back home early. Do not stay here unless you bring your own cleaning supplies.

I love this place, a comfortable bed, plenty of pillows, an immaculate room. Microwave and mini fridge in the room and also a bar downstairs open from 5p-10p, not to mention the complimentary breakfast bar open from 6 to 9a. I could call this place home for a while.

The property was just what we needed. After being on the road from our trip from Tennessee we stayed for 2 days. The rooms were clean, beds where comfy and kids enjoyed the Wi-Fi. The breakfast in the morning was your typical hotel breakfast but the special Texas Belgian waffle was the biggest hit with the kids. The hotel bar was slim pickings but still good after a long trip. Staff was amazing. Special shout out to Renee from housekeeping who went out of her way to make us feel very welcomed. She took time to joke around with the kids and chat with the adults. If we are ever around again we will stay again for sure. Totally recommend this place. Also, pets are very welcomed. We had 2 rooms with 2 service dogs and 1 dog (pet). The exercise room is also very nice and spacious.
