La Riv Kitchen & Bar, Temple TX

Excellent service and excellent food. It's a bit pricey for an everyday outing but well worth the every once in a while.

My girlfriends and I stopped by and grabbed lunch and it was delicious. Our server, Raymond, was very knowledgeable and informative. We split the Tuna Tartare which was very good, I had the Short Rib Pasta and it was delicious. I highly recommend this place. Their sweet tea was also very good! (I don’t think I have ever left a review about sweet tea before, but it was worth noting!)

The food and atmosphere is amazing at La Riv! My husband and I love eating here usually on a Friday night. However, we especially enjoy when we can go on a Wednesday night! They have the most amazing musician, Chris Austin Martinez! We had the pleasure of getting to meet the owner Vira tonight, she was so friendly and welcoming! I highly recommend giving her wonderful restaurant a try!

The food was reasonably good and definitely served hot. Unfortunately there was only one server in the entire restaurant at the time but she did a excellent job. Would I go back? Yes as I said the food was good. I had the bolognese sauce on the riccatoni and I thought that it was excellent. My grandkids obviously shared pizzas LOL and they seem to be happy the rest of us had various pasta dishes and we really had no complaints after we left. I didn't give five scars because I rarely give five stars.

This place is one that I always take friends to. If you do come here (closer to the weekend) make sure you make reservations. The food & drinks will not disappoint.

The food was great and the waiter was nice but it was a bit odd of an Italian restaurant to only have a pasta menu on one day a week. Also if you are gonna price like a high end restaurant it may be worth taking the time to clean your walls and replace missing outlet covers in your large group seating room.

Food was delicious, our waitress, I wish I could remember her name, but, a beautiful, so kind, so nice person. The ambience very friendly, good! I simply love it! For sure I'll go there again every time I come to visit my son and family here in Temple.

Really enjoyed the meal this evening. Good service and food was on point, fresh Salmon was great and appetizers were a solid start!

This place was amazing! Everything from the food to the drinks were excellent. Will certainly be returning soon!

Staff was friendly and polite, and service was good. Atmosphere was stark and sterile. There was a faint oder of a wood fired oven, which was quite present. Plenty of windows to look out, but it was noisy because of the lack of soft things like carpeting or drapes. The food was good but not great. The pasta Bolognese was good and the side seasonal sautéed vegetables complemented it nicely. The salmon was good and nicely plated. The Italian countryside salad was good, and large. We did not have dessert. It should be noted that almost everything here is ala carte, sides, salads, appetizers, even bread. Also, they bill themselves as an Italian restaurant, but the selection of traditional Italian dishes was sparse.

This is a great place I recommend it to everyone who's into good food and great atmosphere in great service

My hubz and I ate here today for a late lunch after doing business in Temple. The Caprese Salad and Shrimp Scampi were delicious. Our server, Emma, was attentive and courteous. We will most certainly be back.

Atmosphere was great. Our server was amazing she answered any and every question we had. She knew the menu very well. Dessert was ruined because it had hair in it, however the staff was accommodating.

Food was excellent. Wine choices spot on. Atmosphere was terrific. Server seemed a bit green but she was trying to do well.

I highly recommend La Riv. It has definitely improved the food and the service. Highly recommend the the short ribs. The shrimp in the shrimp scampi was over cooked (it was rubbery) but it was welled seasoned. The service was outstanding - Mandy was one of the best servers/waitresses we have had since our move to Texas five years ago. She is very friendly and very attentive to each of us as customers. Also very efficient and a willingness to listen and learn our dining quirks. If can get Mandy for your waitress you are got to have a very enjoyable dining experience.
