La Tortillita Mexican Restaurant reviews
21This is my very favorite place to eat Mexican food services good people are friendly food is excellent every time we enjoy every bite
Been there twice and both times, it was great! The food was good, the service was great and all the people that work there are super friendly! I'll be going back and will get pictures next time!
We had a birthday party of 30 people here for my girlfriend. And for only having one person take care of all of us I think she did an amazing job
Let me just say that I love this place. It's a good value for the dollar and the folks who work there are amazing. If you leave hungry, it's your own fault. I'm a pretty decent eater and I usually end up getting a to go box.
I can't say enough about the service and the people who provide it. They have great manners and work so hard to make your experience great, even when they are shorthanded.
Everyone at this mexican restaurant appreciates your business there. I really like their daily specials (Specifically the Sunday special, Carne Guisada and enchilada w/rice and beans, for $8.99.and it includes a iced tea with the meal. The huge downfall is that they charge an extra 4% for using a credit/debit card, so bring cash if you'd prefer to save some money. Really love the food!
Supe great food. Polite staff. Fair prices. We showed up just before a rush. Place went from slow to packed in a matter of minutes. And the service never missed a beat
Stopped in this quiet little town after coming back from the Natural Bridge Caverns. Was greeted with a smile as soon as we walked in. Server was on point and attentive. Couldn't beat the fajita special for under $10 bucks. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars.
This is one of my favorite Mexican food locations in all the San Antonio area! Authentic Tex Mex with daily specials making it our go to Mexican food. When we started going here it was not well known but the secret is out! It gets very busy and although there is tons of seating the service can be slow. We love the salsa, cheese enchiladas and puffy tacos!
True authentic Mexican food. Our family had cheese enchiladas, carne Asada with nopales, chicken fajita. We all enjoyed our dinners.
Took forever to bring the drinks and the food and there was no people, I would say 3 tables including mine of course. Micheladas taste nasty, beer was warm. Not going there for sure.
Staple in neighborhood. It's not the prettiest interior. Kind of dark. Not sure what happened to their fountain. No water flowing.
Onto the Food:
Carne Guisada Tacos (8/10)
Tortillas (8/10)
Chips (8/10)

Great Food! Fast friendly service! Awesome price with a ton of food on your plate. I love to stop by at least once a week for lunch break. I work at Randolph afb and I live by sea world I wish they had something like this by my house
Antonio our Waiter has great human relations skills and a great personality which makes him a great asset to your business. Miguel is at the counter has a great personality as well and encouraged me and my wife to go back which we will.
Great food, great service May need a window or two.
Outdoor patio would be fitting for this restaurant, and of course they will need more help. Build it, and they will come
Food is excellent again! Original owner has taken over management of this restaurant and it is back to its former great place to eat!
We wanted a evening out with dinner and drinks. Undecided on what we really wanted we stopped here and were pleasantly surprised. The food is great.
Let me inform you! If your in the area, this is a must stop. I was served some of the best if not thee best Enchiladas Verdes and to top it off the staff was great! Thank you LA Tortillita for your great service provided.
The lower rating on the food was probably my own fault. When I see "chicken", I expect chicken breast, not the (undoubtedly more authentic) quarter of the chicken I received. But it was hard to eat covered with mole sauce.
Food was good. Service could have been better. Management was RUDE. A lady customer wanted to pay after waiting five minutes by the register and the cashier responded: "Can't you see I'm busy? You wait! " - in my case, the cashier wanted new crispy bills claiming her bank did not accept old bills. I explained banks turn in old bills to the Federal Reserve in exchange for new bills. Female cashier did not know what I was talking about. Not going back
