Giving 5 stars only because it looked like a great place for a picnic and dock fishing or boat launch once they finish the construction. The trailhead is not open so you have to go to Oak Thicket Park a couple of miles away to pick up the trail. But the trail was not that great to me.very wide for a vehicle or 2 (though not allowed, that is just how wide and cleared it is) and not very nature-y. It is close to the road and very groomed. Not my thing. At Oak Thicket, there is a poorly maintained Rice Osborne bird trail that is awesome with no signage and seems to end at a pond.without signage and maintenance, we were not sure if that was the end but we found no continuation. But I loved that trail.very much ungroomed nature.

Nice lake to fish and take the family to, but the people that's hired to take care of the lake they don't allow you to enjoy yourself. They constantly ride around on their golf cart and bug you non-stop, and it's very frustrating when you're trying to relax and fish in peace. The lake closes @ 8pm, but they want you out by 7: 45 pm and when it gets close to that time the person on the golf cart will keep driving up to you to let you know it's almost that time.it's ridiculous!

I've come to this place off and on over the years. Great place to take the boat out, until they changed management. The new staff stares at you, making you feel extremely uncomfortable. As a female I want to enjoy the activity and the park without feeling like I'm being watched.

New park management, is creepy, need to stay out of people's business, best picnic area closed, of which is the only shaded picnic area, making primitive camping area rv park. Visited again people are still creeping man in golf cart stares you down. Questioning if I paid. Man the gate if you are concerned. Just like Walmart if you do not trust me don't expect me to self check out.

Park Prairie is really a super clean launch area for Fayette Lake. Been fishing for a couple years and the couples that manage the park change from time to time. Currently on location are Scott & Laura. 2 of the nicest people you will ever meet. Thankful you 2 are helping to run the park, you guys make it beautiful for Sniper and I. Thank you for all you do! Scott keep chasing off those buzzards!

After 2 years I visited this place. I used to like it. Now it is not the same. May management improve things so again I can visit with same ease.

Great place, bathrooms were cleaned that morning…not busy on day we picked. Wind has been rough this year but I will return and try again. The buzzards defiled my friends truck hence 4 stars…$5 per adult fee, they take checks

Horrible. Water smelled weird and water was so hot. So hot that it felt like if you were in the shower taking a bath and you accidentally put the water all the way to hot.
