This range refused to administer the TX LTC shooting qualification to my brother (Infantryman in the TX National guard) due to the fact that he is under 21. HOWEVER, per TX state law and DPS website 18-20 year olds are able to obtain a LTC and are not able to be discriminated against or disqualified based upon age. This is discrimination based upon age that violates TX state law. Not a great image for LTC instructors who are supposed to know the law.

Being relatively new to the gun world (couple of years of owning and maybe a year of training), I can truly say lake highlands shooting center is a fantastic gun range.

Mark, the owner, and staff have all been polite and helpful since the first time I walked in.

This past weekend I attended the LTC + Defensive handgun course and I can attest that it is well worth the money and time. Larry is a great communicator and has the professional experience very few people can claim when it comes to this stuff. Although doing both classes in one day is tiring, I came out shooting the best I ever had, with my LTC application complete, and all the basic knowledge to protect myself and be a responsible armed citizen.

I became a member and I am looking forward to training here from this point on. Great place for beginners and the experienced alike!

Love this shooting range! I’m a newer handgun owner and love the smaller range! It feels mor personal and I love that! The guys are super helpful and professional and make me feel as if I’ve been going for years! I did a FFL transfer with Marc and it was super easy and quick!

I took my LTC class and was very impressed with the staff, instructor, and the place was clean.

Cant recommend this place enough. Its a family business that goes above and beyond. Not a born “gun guy” and never feel ‘dumb’ asking any question. Their facilities are great, their classes are great, and if you are looking for a firearm run it by them they have a wide networks of distributors that can probably source whatever firearm you are looking for.

I attended the LTC class and learned a lot of great information. Also had a great instructor. Definitely my new favorite shooting range!

Always enjoy Lake Highlands Shooting Center. Great staff and reasonable prices. I purchased the ten session punch card which is a good value. I like that the facility is always clean, safe and easy to get in and out of. I highly recommend Lake Highlands Shooting Center.

I went here for the first time this past week and I can’t wait to go again! The range is clean, safe, well lit, and runs efficiently. The staff was so kind and intentional. I’m so thankful that Dallas has a range that actually cares for it customers, instead of charging them an arm and a leg just to shoot their guns. Thank you Lake Highlands Shooting Center for such a wonderful experience! I will for sure be back!

Have been to a few places. But this one definitely has me coming back because of the pricing and the staff.

Look for Mark if you go there. He's very friendly and will answer your firearm questions and take time out to guide you through whatever you're struggling with.

I plan on taking the handgun course they offer soon.

I attended a Introductory to Basic Handgun Shooting. My instructor was incredible and allowed me to feel totally comfortable with a hand gun and I’ve never in my life a gun until today! Please ask for Wil to train you! You won’t be disappointed!

You see nothing beats good customer relationship and which was the fumiest thing provided at the door this is my favorite range in Texas now

My wife and I went up to the range to undergo some gun training with instructor Larry (Highly Recommend) and we ended up getting a family membership. We really enjoyed our time at the range and the family run atmosphere was very much appreciated. We are looking forward to visiting the shooting center regularly and honing our skills which we discovered is very much needed.

An excellent shooting facility that has a state of the art air filtration system. The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful and bent over backwards to make our shooting experience a fun one.

Great range great staff always very helpful with my purchases and questions. I recommend them to all my friends and family when in the area or have questions I can’t answer.

The staff who attended to me is professional and helpful. The gun selection is ample. Price of rental and ammunition is decent.
