Lake Whitney fishing guide

Captains Taylor and Kyle showed us fantastic hospitality, and put us right over the target. Maxed out again! None of us are expert fishermen and we had children, etc. They are really good hosts for young and old alike. Thank you very much, Kyle and Taylor.

2 years running now this outfit has delivered! This time went with Captain Taylor, and she put us right on the fish. She was also awesome at explaining things to the new anglers and especially great with the 2 kids in the boat. Looking forward to next years camping trip to do it again!

Normally when I go fishing I just sit there and watch my pole do nothing but with these guys I actually had to reel in fish after fish for hours! It was horrible. If you want to actually catch fish use these guys!

We had an awesome fishing trip with our guide Taylor, she’s knowledgeable, hard-working and knows how to find the fish. We all caught our limit of Stripers and then switched to catch and release fishing. Taylor is very personable and is willing to teach anyone regardless of their fishing skill level. Booking a trip is a snap and Kyle is very quick to respond.

We very much enjoyed our experience with Taylor. She was professional, very knowledgeable, and sweet. She was great with our 6-year-old and even let her bait the hooks. I highly recommend their services and we'll definitely book with them again!

Husband and I had a fabulous time CATCHING hefty striper bass today with Kyle! Limited out in no time! Kyle put us on them and we were hauling fish in so fast we never got a boat picture. I'm a novice angler and Kyle helps me every step of the way. Never gets flustered, knows his stuff, and happily shares his expertise. So much fun to fish with a knowledgeable guide! Just went out on a full day with these guys today! Taylor and Kyle were amazing guides and we had an absolute blast. We limited out and still caught and released many more. It was an amazing time. I definitely recommend them for anyone looking for some good fishing in central Texas!

A buddy and I booked a full day and had a great time out on the water catching some big strippers. Taylor is a fantastic guide and she had us on fish within minutes of getting out on the water. We caught our limit in no time and a ton more catch and release. It's easy to see they are the best dam guide service on Lake Whitney.

Me and my wife took a guide with Taylor, and we had an amazing trip! Rods stayed bent the entire time and we had 2 limits of striper and some sandbass in no time! Highly recommend!

Book with confidence. Couldn’t ask for a better group of people to spend a day on the water with. Put us on the fish immediately and just a great time. Even if we didn’t limit we would have enjoyed the time spent and will definitely be back. If you want to see what stripers are all about, don’t hesitate.

This trip was a long time in coming. Back in the summer of 2022 I went on a trip with Taylor, no fish were caught (I know this happens from time to time). Taylor told us to reschedule and the initial trip was at no charge, that act spoke volumes about how much she cares about her customers. The trip was rescheduled to September of 2022, but something came up and the trip had to be rescheduled again, to early December. This trip had to be rescheduled again because of high winds (30-45 mph sustained with gusts of 50+mph). All the rescheduling had me skeptical about this trip.

Our guide, Tim, had us on fish by 7: 40am with a limit by 8: 30 and starting to cull out the smaller fish we had already retained. We boated 34-40 striped bass, counting the shorts and culled fish. In addition to the striped bass, we landed 3 sand bass and 2 catfish.

We had an absolute blast fishing with Best Dam Guides Service on Lake Whitney. This trip match and exceeded all my previous trips with them.

I have to say this was best fishing trip that we had in a long time. Kyle is very helpful and polite. He put us on the fish and had a blast. If you want to catch fish and good fish at that, give Kyle a call.

First time using this charter, and we were not disappointed. Our guide, Tim, was phenomenal! He knew all the right spots to take us to, and he was so patient and attentive with our kiddos. We hit our striper limit and also caught some extra catfish and sand bass. Let’s just say, our freezer is pretty full! I highly recommend this fishing charter, and be sure to ask for Tim to be your guide.
