Lakeside Park reviews
6I got barked at by a weird furry kid so I threw him into the lake and I ran
This is a great park with plenty of amenities. Our focus was on the playground, which includes some unique elements. The 5-12 area has a lot of interesting climbing equipment to interact with. There’s also a more traditional playground set for the younger kids as well as a mix of cute and…slightly disturbing rocking animals to ride. There are a couple of swing sets as well.
As a good Woodlands park, Lakeside sits in a natural forest setting, surrounded by trees. The park is mostly covered by natural shade, but the smaller playground area has a built in shade as well. That’s important for summer days.
Sports fields, tennis courts, and two nice roofed pavilions are available as well. There are some picnic sites along the trails near the boggy lakeside. The park also features a relatively simple skatepark. And of course, the pool serves as a highlight of this community park.
There are a enough amenities in this park to rival any other in the area. And the playground itself is unique to the area. Altogether, it’s lovely and quite peaceful. This is a favorite of ours.
Home of the hurricanes which I’ve been to for the 2nd year now and it’s really fun. Russel will be the best swim coach you’ve ever met.
Just not enough parking for the number of cars there for football games. Complete mess with people parking on the grass making their own parking spots, etc
I went to play tennis. Have 4 nice tennis courts but sometimes it is noise from school next to it.
Great place to have a picnic and enjoy the lake and if kids are interested they have a skating rink as well
