Lakeview Park reviews
12 We went to Hunan Express, yes, out of towners, so that's pretty much one of our definite stops.
I used to go to Lakeview Park back in the day, so I wanted to check it out. PICNIC! Roll the windows down and enjoy the cool evening. Love hearing the ducks.
Fun times!
Been coming to Lakeview since I was little, Alot of memories for me and for many others to come. People call it the duck pond. The pond is even stocked now with catfish and bass. It Even has a playground for children and is maintained like it's supposed to be now. Parties, family and friends. Take some bread or feed for the ducks. Have fun and be sure to pickup your trash.
I love this park. If you don't have any money but you want to go somewhere with your kids they'll love, this is it. I always refer to this as Duck Park, which has made it difficult to remember where it is. It's not in a location I'm typically in. This is in my humble opinion, one of the best parks in Corpus. There is a playground, if needed, swings and BENCHES. Corpus has a thing against benches at parks (I actually just assume it's not in their budget) but this park has FOUR. An unprecedented amount of benches. But people don't come here for the playground. Not even my playground happy son. Because there is a vast amount of wildlife here. Every time I come here there is a different dynamic. Last time it was like a turtle pond. There were turtles here still, but not 2,000 of them. There actually were less ducks here than normal and there is an awful lot of white ibis and pigeons. The geese are still hanging on the other side of the pond I see. Trying to convince my son there is any place to be other than with the birds is extremely difficult. If you are feeding the birds, keep in mind to not bring bread. A lot of people bring fruit and the turtles love it the most. This may not be as fancy as some duck parks in some towns, but I bet it has a lot more animals.
Small park, but very beautiful lake view. If you like birds and turtles, this place is definitely for you. You can see a lot of birds and turtles. You can touch turtles and feed them. There is playground for kids as well.
This park is nice minus all the bread bags in the water first off bread isnt proper food for them and second makes no sense to go have your children feed and then litter like come on now be a better example to your children and don't pollute the home of these beautiful birds turtles and other aquatic life
This park is really nice there is lots of wildlife that gathers here geese and ducks. Playground too.
This playground is awesome! It has a nice outdoor floor beneath it that absorbs jumps and falls well. The turtles are fun to watch in the pond and it has a great parking area.
I've been taking my kids to this place for a long time and it never disappoints.the wildlife is a huge hit with the kids jus make sure you have enough bread
3 years ago, I posted a review on the overpopulation of turtles that I believe is causing bacteria to grow quite a lot in the pond. Has anyone gone recently to this place and see if it's still stinky?
The lake view was amazing with the presence of multiple varieties of birds. It's a natural park.
Way back in the day, My little princesses chased the birds running crazy feeding the ducks, and having so much fun!
Best park in Corpus Christi! It's the most beautiful park, as well. Love the pond, and the scenery. Nice little park for a picnic, and I even fed the ducks! This park is an underrated part of Corpus Christi, and I'd highly recommend anyone to come and enjoy this park!
