20The food is so good and have good verity of items. The customer service is too good. Especially the guy surya who works in the kitchen is very friendly and takes acre of customers ver well.
This place is located inside the gas station. The best place if you are looking for Nepali food
I have tried chilli momos, chicken chowmien and lamb biryani
Momos are amazing and the lamb biryani too
The chowmein was awesome. It has the flavor of the famous in Indo-Chinese cuisine. I will rate it a solid 9/10.
The food is really relishes
Great staff!
Overall, I think I had found a best Nepali resturant. I am excited to repeat again!
Okay, so let's start with what it's like at Lali Son. It's this takeout place inside a gas station convenience store in Leander, TX. I know, doesn't sound fancy, right? But trust me, once you try their butter chicken, vegetable samosas, or those steamed momos, it's like, bam – you're suddenly thinking you're in some top-notch restaurant in Kathmandu.
The people there are super friendly. You walk in, and they greet you with the biggest smiles. It's like that awesome Indian and Nepalese hospitality that everyone talks about. They make you feel right at home.
Oh, and you've got to hear about the smells in there! As soon as you open the door, it's like, whoa – all these amazing spices hit you. It's not just good, it's like your mouth starts watering right then and there.
Lali Son might just be a small spot in a gas station, but it’s all about huge flavors that take you straight to Nepal. Their food is amazing, and it’s not just about eating, it’s like a whole experience. If you're looking for something really cool and different, you've got to check out Lali Son. It's like a short trip to Leander, but a big jump into some real Nepalese taste.
Absolutely delicious. Lots of vegetarian options and lots for people who aren't, as well.
I ordered 3 dishes and all 3 dishes were bad.
We ordered Hakka Noodles, Schezwan Fried rice and Gobi Manchurian. All I could taste was chilli powder in Hakka Noodles. Gobi Manchurian was extremely tangy.
Sorry for not providing the details earlier.
Finding Lali Son: Nepalese Restaurant has been a delightful experience as a connoisseur of diverse cuisines. The fact that it's a HALAL/حلال restaurant adds significantly to its appeal, catering to a broader audience with dietary preferences. Their commitment to using meat from Halal sources is commendable, ensuring quality and adherence to dietary restrictions.
The ambiance of Lali Son is warm and welcoming, a reflection of its owner, Surya Shah. Mr. Shah's passion for Nepalese cuisine and dedication to customer satisfaction are palpable in every interaction. He is not just an owner but the heart and soul of the restaurant, often seen engaging with customers, ensuring they have a wonderful dining experience.
Now, let's talk about the food – specifically, their Chicken 65 biryani. This dish is an absolute masterpiece. The perfectly balanced spices give it a unique, spicy, and irresistible flavor. The chicken is tender and perfectly cooked, and the rice is fragrant and fluffy. It's not just a meal; it's an experience that takes you on a culinary journey to Nepal.
In conclusion, Lali Son is more than just a restaurant; it's a place where food meets culture, and every dish served is a testament to the rich culinary heritage of Nepal. Whether you're a fan of Nepalese cuisine or looking to try something new, Lali Son is a must-visit. Their Chicken 65 biryani alone is worth the trip!
Had the Lamb Tika Masala!
Inside Texaco gas station.
It was so amazing
And the fella at the counter has one of the best personalities around!
Great Indian food. Freshly made and flavorful. The sag paneer is some of the best I’ve had in a long time. Butter chicken was delicious and chicken 65 biryani has a nice kick to it
This is the third time we ordered food from Lali sons. This time we ordered noodles and chilli chicken from them and the food made all of us sick AGAIN- we were down with stomach pain and dehydration. The food was hogh on salt and chicken pieces where refried. My mum puked the whole night after eating the noodles. They clearly do not maintain any hygiene in their kitchen. I would not recommend them at all.
Fantastic food samosas are vegetarian and wonderful and amazing, mango lassi’s, fast and delicious
I feel the menu is very true and tasty. If you really fond of Indo Chinese food, just go here.
Excellent food. Very authentic spices. Many time spicy means more chillies, but this was different. Highly recommended. We tried the Chilli Momos (veg), Chole Bhature and chilli paneer.
Editted about couple of years after my first post, food is as good as before and the flavor continues to enamor my family!
Must try fried momos, chilli momos. Best in leander so far!
The staff is polite as well. Do ask for 15% discount.
This place is a hidden gem! I'd give it more stars, but it doesn't have a place to sit and enjoymyour food as it's nestled inside a gas station.
The wings are sizeable and tremendous. The selection of food is flavorful and variant for indian/Nepalese style food. This is a must try!
Heard great things, and it did not disappoint! The service was personable and very kind. Will likely return!
Amazing Tikka masala and all around great Authentic Indian Cuisine. Local Hidden Gem! Definitely recommend checking this spot out!
It’s always a take out option we choose. Chicken fried rice and chicken momos are must try
I have been to the place multiple times. Food is delicious and service is excellent. Highly recommended.
I have ordered for chicken fried rice and egg chowmein and it reminded me of tasty indian street food… soo tasty… soo delicious
I mean, atmosphere is a gas station; but that’s where the only missing star exists.
Aside from that?
Amazing flavor, great service (try some tea while you wait).
The spice level is perfect, although I did specify a little lower than absolute nuclear, just because I wasn’t sure how much they liked to bring the pain to the unsuspecting new customer.
The wait wasn’t long and he kept letting me know how long to expect it.
The Nan is great, not amazing… but it sat in the car a while.
The tikka masala is probably my favorite, I went with lamb and then chicken biryani.
The samosa chat was a little different than I’m used to, but definitely tasty.
This is a perfect spot because I usually take my Indian food home so they don’t see me cry.
I’ve had spicier, but again I didn’t tell them “give me the stuff you feed your enemies” level. I’m happy with my choices and will definitely be back.
Might ask them for a little bit more spice on the masala next time. Just to see what kind of experts I’m up against.
