Dr. Morris and her staff are professional, friendly, and make you feel like you are the only patient they are treating. I never feel rushed.

I found this dermatologist for my mom after she mentioned to me she wanted someone to look at her skin because she has some sun damage. We set up an appointment a month ahead and made sure they took her insurance.

She was told by the office that she needed to get a referral from her PCP in order to be seen. She went to her PCP and her PCP faxed the referral to this office. They then told us it was never received, potentially because there was a paper jam. We sent them a copy from my mom's PCP portal page through text and they told us that it was the wrong type of referral. Alright, no big deal. We contacted our PCP and let them know that we needed an insurance referral. My mother even went to her PCP's office to explain the situation. The fact that they couldn't email to the dermatologist was a big issue but they were willing to fax what was needed. I spoke with Mona, their office manager who was trying to help get this situated. Mona called me later and let me know that she had spoken with my mom's PCP and had gotten everything situated. Great! However, that was apparently not the case.

My mom arrived for her appointment today and was told that no fax was received and when she explained the situation they claimed they had no idea what she was talking about. They then brought out someone who spoke Spanish, who explained to my mom again that they had not received the fax. She then proceeded to tell her "your time was running out" which is extremely unprofessional to say. My mother then contacted me and I called the office. I expressed my concerns not only because of the issue with the referral but of how they were treating my mother, who at this point felt extremely uncomfortable because of the staff. This office was clearly discriminating against individuals who do not speak English. My mother speaks English well, but has a heavy accent. If you do not speak perfect English, I would suggest a different office. Once I called, the person on the line was Melinda, and she decided to interrupt me and talk back to me as I explained the situation. I expressed my concerns over their customer service and she said I could "talk to Mona but she's not here right now. "

This is an extremely unprofessional practice that should not be operating. Not only were my mom and I treated extremely rudely, she wasn't seen simply because the office couldn't get their stuff together after being faxed items multiple times. At the end of the day, I wish my mom could have had a better experience, but as I told Melinda, this isn't the only dermatologist in the Fort Worth so they shouldn't feel so special:)
