I’ve been living here for 6 months and this place is great! I honestly don’t want to move. They’re quick with service orders and inform you every step of the way from when it was received to when it’s been completed. They always have fun things going on like tacos or baked goods! The staff from maintenance to front desk are great people!

The worst apartments I have ever lived in. We are in the middle of a heat wave and the maintenance men can’t work overtime to fix AC’s? I am almost 30 weeks pregnant with my 6yo 5yo and 3yo in my apartment and their answer to me was “if we make it there today we will fix it today if not then tomorrow” I have nowhere else to go so I am forced to stay in my hot apartment. The girl at the front office was VERY rude and hung up on me. She kept talking over me and raising her voice at me. We are in a heat wave. It is 110 outside. But they don’t care. They get to get off at 5 or 6 and go home to their AC’d houses and apartments while I sit here and roast. This could put me into early labor but they don’t care. I don’t have money for a hotel due to paying expensive rent here. The apartments can do what they want, but If I’m even a day late on my rent I get penalized for it. I will NOT be renewing my lease if this is how they treat their residents. I would give 0 stars if I could.

Update: my AC is out AGAIN & the on call maintenance man will not come out to fix it due to some policy that they can’t fix AC’s at night. When I asked them where I can view this policy their response was to bring it up with management in the morning. It’s 9: 00 at night. I am just getting home and am now 37 weeks pregnant with my AC reading almost 80 degrees & I have my 6 year old and 3 year old in here. Again they will not give me money for a hotel & I have nowhere else to go. THE WORST APARTMENTS EVER. DO NOT MOVE HERE

As a delivery driver not a resident, horrible layout can't see any visible building numbers. If you never wanna be found this is your lucky day.worst building layout in Alamo ranch, put visible signage of building numbers

I see I’m not the only one. Negative reviews of this complex are flowing in.

It is insane what the management here is doing to people. Other apartment complexes are not like this. This complex and LeaseLock are a complete scam. Stay far far far away.

Unfortunately I have had only bad experiences with this complex. Renters beware, Laurel Canyons does not require a Deposit, allowing them to charge a monthly “lease lock waiver” but then still charge you for alleged “damages” upon move out. They had scared me by telling me my balance was in “collections” when really it was still processing through their Greystar Receivables department. Then they finally sent me the bill on 5/18/23, with a due date of 5/15/23, allowing me no time to dispute. Later I find out that LeaseLock waiver that I paid monthly instead of a deposit should be covering damages. Very confused and concerned about how this business operates. Reported to the Better Business Bureau but the BBB said Greystar has stopped responding

Updating my review, as i will be moving out and have spent 15 months here. I am paying 1300ish for a 600 square foot apartment.
The apartment: Fake luxury. Bad paint jobs, cheap and poorly installed flooring, unrepaired mold and water damage from poor ventilation in the bathroom (and AC condensate line draining to the tub). The 1300 unit is 'upgraded' but the tub and tiling is unrenovated, the cabinets are old but just painted over (poorly), not all fixtures have been replaced to match and the counters are a cheap laminate.
Non-negotiable fee for valet trash, and a package service you wont use. Use of it is optional, the fee is not. Non-negotiable 'lease lock' which is a fee you pay every month instead of a deposit, that you DON'T get back when you move, and DOES NOT benefit you as a renter. Anything they decide to 'repair' after you leave, will be charged directly to your bank account.

Management removed all dumpsters in favor of a single trash compactor the size of a dumpster. They said it was 'because people kept leaving bulk items at the dumpster', but (SUPRISE!) people still leave bulk items by the compactor. The issue was never the dumpsters, its that the managers need to coordinate and communicate a bulk pickup day. Now your only option is to use valet trash, which does not service on Fridays and Saturdays, or to walk all the way to the ONE compactor, which has now become a junkyard because its not enough to service an entire complex.

They made the parking spaces closest to the front doors of apartments reserved with no warning, for $45 a month. When I asked about these spots I was told they reserved them to 'give us more options' like they are doing me a favor taking away a parking space in front of my apartment that i have been parking in for over a year.

Lastly, god forbid you forget to give a 60 days notice. They will not give you the same online options for a 60 days notice as they do a renewal, and they will not warn you of what happens if you miss it. I missed my 60 days notice by 9 days and was told those 9 days would be added to my lease and I would be charged a month-to-month price for it. The 'month to month' price was more than an entire month's rent for 9 days. My last month I will be paying my normal 1300 + roughly 1500 to cover the 9 days I am forced to add on.

Perfect property with apartments that immediately feel like home Pool is always clean, gym as well. Office staff is super helpful and kind. Everything you need is nearby. Love this place

This is such a nice Apt Complex. They have perks that everyone is a part of, if they so choose. They care. Don't see that much these days. I would recommend these Apts for your next home!

While living here with my boyfriend nothing but bad things have happened. There is no integrity at this complex & if you are wanting your car stolen go ahead and park here! So glad to be moving out. DO NOT LEASE HERE!

Beautiful area with great access to schools, parks, shopping and eating. Staff is great and the value of my unit is perfectly reasonable. I love Laurel Canyon Apartments!

Was told that if we filled out the application at that time, they would wave the application fee only to get calls from a collection agency months later. Called Laurel Canyon and they said they would look into it and nothing got done twice.

I can honestly say this is such a wonderful place to live! The office staff are always so nice and willing to go above and beyond! It’s a great price and great location but the employees are what makes this place Home!
