I was really hesitant to find a divorce lawyer I could trust. Doug and Susie covered all bases and in the end I landed softly after a nasty separation,

Mr. Smith was kind, patient, and really listened to my needs while I was in a difficult family situation. He made me feel comfortable the entire process.

When I hired this attorney, he is not residing in El Paso but in state of Arizona. I would not hear promptly from him whether phone call or email. His ineffectiveness cause my case to drag on. I had to terminate his services. I recommend not to hire him if he still resides in Arizona.

I’m begging you… please DO NOT go to this attorney! He’s a very kind man, but has no business practicing law anymore. I had to hire a new attorney to clean up this man’s mess. It was supposed to be a simple divorce, but it took two years to finally get it done… and that was me NOT fighting anything. Also, my current attorney shared with me that my divorce decree did nothing to protect me… he was so embarrassed for this poor man because I was left unprotected. And don’t even get me started on all the mistakes my divorce decree had. And when I did have court, my ex had to share with me the ZOOM invite because Mr. Smith and his assistant’s NEVER sent me information about my court date (if my ex hadn’t been gracious enough to share with me the court information, I would’ve missed my court date). So now, I’m having to pay for another lawyer to fix Mr. Smith’s mistakes. So please, do NOT hire this poor man.

Run from this Donald Smith and paralegal Susie, they don't do anything for you they don't file on time to the courts but are quick to take your money and won't do a thing. I was in the office twice they no one come in at all.

I payed this guy to represent me and he sat there and let me fall, then tried to fire himself to keep the rest of my money. Worst attorney

Called the office several times. Assistance said Mr. Smith will call back. Never did. When I finally make contact with Mr. Smith he insults me and did not give me all the information I needed. I'm definitely angry while making this review

Absolutely do NOT use this Law Office. The Law Office of Douglas C. Smith had me invest thousands as a retainer in February, and has had poor communication with me and absolutely zero communication with the Oklahoma court my case originated out of. I entrusted Mr. Smith with the safety and future of my children, as well as my peace of mind. According to the El Paso County website, my case was set for dismissal at 0830 this morning due to lack of movement. I am absolutely floored that this happened.

I chose Mr. Smith because he said he had knowledge of military laws & regulations. There was a huge difference in his attitude and professionalism from before signing the contract to afterwards. The whole six months that I had him as my lawyer the only thing he did was make mistakes at my expense! He didn't even familiarize himself with my case prior to any of our meetings, especially the only date court hearing that was severely hampered by him not having any information at hand! He had to call his assistant for information and I had to re-email him my paperwork as we were waiting for my time slot. He never even asked for any information from my cheating active duty husband, like his retirement or savings. Nothing.he's severely absent minded he is severely absent minded and trying to take on too many cases at one time. Point in case, when I was waiting for my court hearing he was dealing with two other clients on my dime!

Their secretary reached out to me and provided me with necessary paperwork. So far so good. Everyone turned out to be wiling to go above the required level help me.

Excellent attorney, helped me become sole conservator of my daughter. I plan on using him again if needed.
