I'm so confused by all the reviews. These reviews are how I chose her. My first appt was a virtual one in May 2020. I only remember the date because it was my birthday. I was about to have surgery on my ankle and I was extremely nervous/anxious. I've had anxiety for some time, but I had a pretty bad experience getting off the medication, 8 years prior. I explained that whole situation to the Dr. It was a really traumatizing experience that I'm convinced took some years off my life lol. Anyway, I just was hoping I could get help for one day. Enough to make it to the operating room. She explained to me, in detail, about anxiety/serotonin and kindly asked me to just try one medication for just 2 months. I told her I would try anything but klonopin. What did she end up prescribing? Klonopin. Nope. I didn't pick it up.
So, I also brought up my throat. I had issues swallowing. She explained it was probably post nasal drip and not to worry.
I decided to give the office a shot. I made an appt in November 20' because my throat was still bothering me. Dr. Hussein wasn't there. I saw the NP. She ordered an ultrasound for my throat. I don't have insurance so this appt cost about $600. My ultrasound came back a little funky. Nodule, swollen thyroid but my issue was swallowing. I had lost 30lbs in 6 months. I hadn't eaten solids in almost 9 months. I get a call saying there's nothing to worry about and they put me on nexium.
It's now January 21'. I make an appt about my throat again and clarification on the ultrasound. Dr. Hussein seemed so annoyed. She's being petty, staring at her watch, as I'm just a waste of time. Now, this is 1yr of throat issues. The worry/stress was overwhelming. I can't eat.
I finally gave up and saw another Dr who ordered a barium x ray. He says I wasn't properly treated and was dumbfounded that I've seen a Dr for this without resolve. I have silent reflux causing erosive esophagus. I've been on nexium twice a day and prevacid as well. I ate my first meal last night and cried in gratitude. I feel hopeful my throat is FINALLY on its way to healing.
As much as I wanted to like her, I just couldn't do it. I like straightforward people. I don't like rude (staring at your watch as I'm desperately needing relief). $700 cash for nothing. She's not compassionate, and I feel like she knows it lol. She's abrasive, impatient, and definitely couldn't treat me. She didn't even glance in my throat.

After my first appointment it became abundantly clear that Dr. Hussein was not an easy physician to deal with.

Dr. Hussein was very condescending, abrupt, argumentative and she's never wrong. It is always someone else's fault.i. E.pharmacy, previous physician, patient

- I have been with my pharmacy for 16 years and never had a prescription issue until Dr. Hussein.

- I had been with my first physician for 20 years and my second physician for 6 years.

Dr. Hussein had the audacity to question my previous physicians and my necessary medications.

In fact, she instructed me to stop taking the medications due to the side effects.

This was truly an asinine statement.
All medications have "possible" side effects. Even over the counter medications have "possible" side effects.

Then I found out the hard way that Dr. Hussein runs her office by a messaging system. This means ZERO "one on one" communication with the patient.

Needless to say, that caused major issues in the interpretation of the messages by the staff and Dr. Hussein.

Honestly, that is just a "Lazy and Disgraceful" way to run her office.

Dr. Hussein should show her patients the utmost respect by having an "One on One" Doctor - Patient Relationship.

On my second appointment, and this was the clincher, Dr. Hussein stormed into the room being completely arrogant and belligerent then yelled; (and I quote) "I'm An A-Hole To Deal With. "

(Actually, I started laughing because Dr. Hussein's atrocious behavior reminded me of a bully having a temper tantrum.)

Dr. Hussein stated that she has to be this way due to her heritage. (Specifically, her last name.)

I certainly did not judge Dr. Hussein by her last name but she judges herself. Interesting fact to say the least.

If this is the case, Dr. Hussein has absolutely no business being a physician and her comment was NOT an overwhelming endorsement.

More importantly, how dare she speak to a patient with such inappropriate foul language.

Dr. Hussein lacks decorum and has absolutely no scruples.

Considering what had just occurred, I still tried to have a meaningful conversation with Dr. Hussein but instead of listening to the patient she just spoke over me.

It is Dr. Hussein's way or no way at all. She looks out for herself and no one else.

More importantly, Dr. Hussein called me, the patient, a liar and refused to refill one of my necessary prescriptions.

Dr. Hussein is 100% responsible for being medically negligent regarding my overall health and well-being. She certainly did not look out for my best interest.

In fact, Dr. Hussein, once again, blamed her heritage for the reason she would not refill my prescription. She would rather be a bully than a compassionate physician.

I have absolutely zero faith in Dr. Hussein's ability as a physician. Based on my personal experience, Dr. Hussein is NOT professional, qualified, knowledgeable, curtious, compassionate, or ethical.

With 60 years of medical experience in my family I have never had such a horrific experience with a physician.

Thankfully, I have found a wonderful physician that truly embodies all the necessary qualities that Dr. Hussein most certainly does not have as a "so called" medical professional.

Although, physicians and patients do not have to always agree (Patient Bill of Rights) it is most beneficial to have a good rapport. Something that Dr. Hussein apparently does not comprehend.

Yes, we all have different experiences and opinions when it comes to physicians but when it is this appalling a review is most certainly warranted.

Any response from Dr. Hussein is 100% superfluous as she will, obviously, blame the patient.

No need for the standard &/or generic response to this review; "that you follow the rules and medical guidelines" as it is completely bogus.

I have been a patient of Dr. Hussein at the League City Family Clinic since 2017. I have had nothing but a positive experience with the doctor and all her staff. I transferred both of my children’s care over to this clinic as well. We are extremely happy with the care we receive here.

Dr. Hussein is hands down the best doctor I've ever had. She is very down to earth and easy to talk to. She has always given me an accurate diagnosis and treatment, and seems to genuinely care about the health of her patients. I have been to her practice probably about 15 times throughout the years and have never had a bad experience or a long wait. Additionally, I have had several virtual visits that were just as great. I am so happy to have found her!

Got me right in to my appointment. Helped with getting information confirmed. Allison and Nathalia both had super attitudes and made the visit enjoyable with thorough information. I've been coming here a few years now. Like this place.

I was one of Dr. Hussein’s first patients when she opened her clinic in League City. She is always there for you. She cares and hasn’t forgotten why she decided to become a doctor. We need more doctors who CARE and who are not too busy or booked to see you when you are sick and need them.

Dr. Hussein, you are a jewel and I’m glad I found you.

Dr Hussein is amazing. Her bedside manner is impeccable. She has someone in the room with her typing in the computer so she can give her patients her undivided attention. She listens to you and I mean REALLY listens to you. Waiting room time is minimal and no wait time once you go in because she is the one that calls you in and she does BP, temp, weight, everything. The office is clean and well organized. The staff is courteous and very professional. I needed blood drawn and that is not an easy task ever since I had chemo. The tech is so good at what she does that even though my veins were not cooperating, she did not hurt or bruise me. She was also a very sweet and caring person. I have told all my family and friends about this practice and I highly recommended Dr Hussein and her staff.

If you’re looking for a PCP for your family, you’ve found the place to go!

Hands down, Dr. Hussein is one of the nicest doctors that I’ve ever been around. She takes the time to answer your questions and I never felt rushed.
From the moment that I booked my 1st appointment, I had an excellent experience.

Dr. Hussein and her staff set the standard that all healthcare providers should strive to achieve. The compassionate, patient-centered care they provide is second-to-none. I can honestly say I have never felt so involved and accountable for my own care and wellness.

I have been a patient of Dr. Hussein's for a couple of years now. She takes time to sit down and really assess what is going on. She notices details and is very knowledgeable in her approach to addressing issues. I trust her to tell me the truth even if I don't want to hear the news. I prefer her very direct style of communication and feel that she truly cares about my well-being.

I was new to the area and needed to establish a primary care doctor. I called and was seen the very same day. I can't say enough great things about the doctor and all her staff. They spent more than enough time with me and answered all my questions with respect and compassion. If you're looking for a doctor that treats you more than a number, go here. You won't regret it.

Dr. Hussein in the best! I highly recommend her to others if they are looking for a PCP. Her staff is also great! I also love that education is important to her, as she always has clinical students in her office to observe and learn as they work towards fulfilling a dream to enter the medical field.
