Leo's Pizzeria reviews
17We’re new to town and were recommended this place with flying colors. We got the pizza today for the first time and let me tell you, it was disgusting. Not sure why this place has such high reviews. It was extremely greasy, stale and salty, how do you make a pizza salty? !? ! My stomach was hurting just after a few bites. My pet peeve is wasting food but I did not hesitate to throw this in the garbage. I wish I would’ve taken a picture to show you how bad it was, but even then it would not do any justice. Feel free to listen to the other people giving positive reviews, but you’ll regret. Don’t waste your time and money, go somewhere else. Worth the time to drive to Testa Pizzeria in Frisco instead
Had to dab each piece of pizza with a napkin. It was so greasy. My toddler is FERAL, and he refused to eat it after trying two bites.
Try this place at your own risk.
It is just ok. The food is ok. The wait staff is nice and very quite. I had the Philly cheesesteak. It needed more filling. It did not taste like the steak was freshly cooked.
I have been eating at Leo’s for the past 2 years since my daughter attends dance lessons in Pilot Point. Love all the food I have tried…favorites are cannelloni, stromboli, calzone, pizza, fried artichokes, pasta. Good tiramisu and cannolis also. It is not a fancy place but the pizza and food is consistently great, and the staff is friendly. Nice small town atmosphere in a casual setting. Always enjoy eating there.
Everything about this venue is nothing short of Amazing! You are treated like family and the food is absolutely amazing!
Okay, I want to start by saying, I am not the guy that’s the keyboard warrior, always giving bad reviews. I mostly only rate a place I am very happy with. That is not the case in this situation. I had a really terrible experience, at Leo’s. I met my girlfriend there for a late lunch early dinner. When we arrived we were the only ones in the restaurant and remained their only patrons the whole time. The waiter was a nice young man that was pleasant and well mannered. He brought us garlic rolls and butter. The rolls were dried out and hard. They kind of hard that seemed like they had been sitting out for a few days. They were cold too. We both ordered the Leo’s Salad, their house specialty. It sounded great on the menu. I asked for extra house dressing. When it got to the table they were both dry and missing some of the main ingredients. I asked about it and he brought me a side of the dressing because he forgot the first time and the rest of the salad ingredients. He apologized and said he forgot the salad ingredients. Still no big deal. We got what we asked for. It was good too. Then we ordered our meals. I ordered the pasta sampler and she ordered baked Ziti. The food came out and I was a little surprised of the portion size. It was tiny. At least mine was. The lasagna had one single piece of sausage in the whole helping side and it fell off the side of the lasagna. The lasagna noodles were not done. I don’t mean they were cooked al dente either. The pasta sauce that covered the three pastas tasted like a can of hunts tomato sauce. I tried to like it but it was the worst Italian food I’ve ever had. The frozen stuff you by at Walmart is better by a lot. Very disappointed in the meal. Now for the best part. While we were waiting for our meal to be prepared we ordered a pizza to go. I ordered one of their specialty pizzas and asked that it be cut in half and placed in two separate pizza boxes. What we got instead was a whole pizza shoved into three styrofoam takeout dishes. The slices were stacked on top of each other so what little cheese was on the pizza was stuck to the crust of the pizza on top of it. I’ve never been more disappointed in a dining experience. I will never return to this place. I’m only posting this as a heads up to others that might consider checking this place out. Don’t!
Calamari tastes like they hand pick it from the ocean.amazing, i will continue to drive up from denton just for the calamari.pizza is good too, staff is very welcoming and sweet.
Not too many places to get food in Pilot Point but Leo’s is a good place for Italian food.
Leo's is one of my go-to places. It's convenient to where I work and close to the downtown Square which I frequent. Their Pizza is really, really good, and I love their primavera and chicken florentine. It's a family-run business and they are very friendly. It's just a down-home kind of place where I can go and have a good meal with a friendly atmosphere.
My favorite Pizza in Pilot Point!
The owners are awesome people too.
Thumb WAY Up for this wonderful little restaurant!
It took a while to get our delicious tasting pizza, but we were served fresh garlic rolls while waiting.
We asked for a thin and crispy, which wad a little too hard. You're probably better off with the hand tossed.
Wow what a great place. A hidden gem. I had the linguine & white clam sauce. Hubby had the pasta with meatballs /sausage /veggies. Love the rolls. Food and service was great.
This mom and pop shop did not disappoint! The food has lots of flavor, big portions, and free bread rolls! The price point is also very reasonable. There's room for big families, has lots of parking on the lot and is one of the few places open late on Sundays. The staff is very friendly and attentive to your needs. This is one to add to your frequently visited restaurants!
Hands down the best pizza in our small lovely town. Warm and friendly environment and wonderful service.
First time trying Leo's and it was so good. The canneloni was outstanding. Got a pizza to go as well. Would recommend to anyone looking for good homemade Italian food.
Amazing restaurant! The food was made with such love! The staff is super friendly, the chef came out and talked to us. Really made us feel welcomed <3
