Lewisville BBQ – Soulman’s

Ordered online for delivery and all I can say is unbelievable how bad this place is. Had "ribs" and some turkey with their spicy Texas creamed corn and mac & cheese. When I picked up the order I sensed something was wrong; so light, I wondered if they had forgotten something.

However, the order was complete, it was the meat that appeared to be the problem. The turkey was tender and sliced very thin, but not a lot of smoke nor moisture to it.thank god for the bbq sauce. The "ribs" were on the far side of drier than a bone. Literally. I have had jerky more moist. These were CRISPY and desiccated to the point I wondered if they had been kept over from last week or if the cook failed to put enough water into the reconstitution of them from being freeze dried. If Dickey's had their sides, they would have no reason to be in business.

If you like a high priced, underwhelming experience for "bbq" and like crunchy meat, this is your place. Otherwise, I think there's a 7-11 with a bbq brisket sandwich in their cooler I can heat up in my microwave and be more satisfied. Thankfully, I wasted a gift card from work on this and not my own money.

I had been wanting to try this place for a while and it was great. Brisket was great. Coleslaw tasted fresh so did the fried cabbage which I had never tried. They do catfish on Fridays between 5pm and 9pm. I loved it will have to go back.

This place was excellent. Had the best smoked turkey I ever had. Brisket and sausage were great. The sides are fantastic. Really good value for the money.

If you are looking for a BBQ place that knocks it out of the park with both their meat and their sides, look no further. I have had many of their menu items but by far my favorite is the baked potato with chopped beef and their potato salad. I have been known to stop and buy a side of potato salad just to eat as a snack or a meal itself. SO GOOD!

And - I noticed recently they are offering holiday dinners. Although I have not yet tried that portion of their menu, I can imagine that it would be one of the best holiday meals you could buy and not have to cook yourself.

Special instructions say, NO DICED HOT LINKS. So why did I still get it in my bowl? And it was far less brisket in my bowl than normal. Disappointing.

Always has amazing food! Employees make you feel welcomed and are just very nice everytime we have gone in.which is very often.

Just tried to order and the guy on the phone said they probably wouldn't have what we were ordering because they had people in line. The guy in the back said "if they're not gonna come get it right now then we aren't going to make it". We would have been there in 5 min, just wanted to be able to grab and go, so that's why we tried to order ahead. I guess that's not something they're willing to do.

Customer service was good. Food wasn't that good. Free ice cream. Ice cream was very good. And smoked sausage is the best meat there.

I had a fantastic experience here. The pulled pork sandwich, potato salad, and French fries were delicious. Well seasoned, cooked perfectly, and it came highly recommended from the staff. The staff that was there last night on the line did a great job making me feel welcome, explaining the menu, and their favorites. They do a great job making you feel like a “guest” instead of a customer. My husband was thoroughly impressed with the to-go food, which isn’t easy to do. We will definitely come back here again and tell our friends.

Came highly recommended by a friend, but we weren't that impressed. Food was okay, but there are better options. Wife thought the ribs were overcooked. I had ribs, brisket, and sausage; it was okay, like I said. The ice cream was delicious, though!

Try it, maybe >you< will like it more.

I ordered the Double Barrel, and it was indeed tasty. I'm glad I purchased 2 because my husband ate all of his in 1 sitting. The BBQ sauce was awesome & the chopped beef was indeed smoky. Great Job SoulMan!

As a foodie, this place is. Well seasoned juicy smoky flavored food still hot up til closing (which is what time I got there). Customer service was A 1.
