I had Dr Mauney for my 2nd pregnancy and she was the absolute best, she is so sweet, listens to all your concerns. I felt so safe with her my entire pregnancy I couldn’t have asked for a better Dr.

My first appointment with dr mauney was great! She’s was so sweet and explained everything in great detail. And also made sure to ask if I had any questions. Ultrasound tech and nurse were also very sweet! Front desk staff was a little dry but they weren’t rude or anything. They just didn’t seem very enthusiastic to work there lmao. I didn’t mind though. This is my first pregnancy, and I feel very safe with dr mauney. Thx! (:

Highly unhelpful staff, failing to inform me of lab costs even after I specifically asked about total costs for a testing procedure. I left with the understanding (because that is *exactly* what I was told) that the $250+ I had just paid was the full cost. I was hit 1.5 weeks later with an additional $180+ bill from LabCorp.

It is extremely dishonest to fail to inform the patient of additional costs like this, ESPECIALLY when the patient specifically asks for the full cost. It is not difficult to be clear, straightforward, and honest.

Bad first experience with my wife. Started with a great ultrasound tech - she was wonderful. Downhill from there. Poor communication in the office amongst staff. Lab tech drew three vials of blood for a test that wasn’t even ordered (NIPT), and she was rude about it. Dr.unwilling to support wife’s request for a light duty note because of a fear of “insurance fraud”? My wife would be working full time as a CNA, just at the desk, for just an additional month until she reaches her light duty cap. Insurance fraud? Unfounded.
We were able to get a light duty note without issue from IVF specialists for prior two months. Wife’s feeling stress about having to lift 200 lb patients or lose her job, when all Dr. Mauney needed to do was write an easy note. Protect the practice before serving the patient.

Great doctor, terrible staff. They do not return phone calls! Spent nearly a month trying to get someone on the phone about a billing issue. I would call about a coding error and be sent to the nurse's voicemail? Tried leaving messages for the office manager and no reply. Finally got a hold of the correct person, who asked me to send a copy of the bill and then no further contact or responses to emails. I had to keep calling my insurance company to see if it was resolved. I would absolutely hate to be pregnant and have a problem and need to get in touch with someone at this office because it's nearly impossible and I would lose my nerve. Switching doctors after this which is a shame because I liked the doctor.
