With a shout out to Shasta at the Menchaca facility in Austin, my experience has been one of timely professionalism and staying on task to insure a great customer experience.

Our move in experience was top notch! Shasta was very knowledgeable and extremely friendly. Highly recommended!

Fabulous customer service. I made a mistake with my lock - and they called so I could take care of it immediately. When I needed to upgrade my unit, they took time to help me, considered that I'd need to work to move my stuff, (again, sigh. Moving is such a pain) and worked to make sure my fees were fair and correct. Can't say enough about Shasta and her team. There are real people running this place (it's not just a website) and they care.

Ever since they became a part of Extra space, their prices have increased significantly. Consider looking elsewhere, you can find better prices

The staff at Life Storage on Menchaca in Austin is truly amazing. I am dealing with an extremely difficult medical situation which has debilitated me for long periods of time in the past 3 years. In the last year, I’ve had to figure a ton of things/situations out while facing death in the face. When you’re so ill that days interweave with each other and your memory is so shot from treatment that you can barely remember what a bill is, let alone all the categories that come after bills, you need some darn assistance and support from everyone (personal, business, all) in your life to help you float through at even the tip of your nose. Unfortunately, during my surgical, physically and mentally debilitating, and often traumatic process of “healing”, I faced and still face a ridiculous amount of discrimination, ignorance, injustice, and unkindness from much of society…being a survivor
of violence (being extremely general here) has completely changed me, traumatized me, broken me down, made me insecure, and the list goes on. It’s almost ridiculous to admit that people like the management at Life Storage on Menchaca in Austin (shout-out especially to Preston- amazing security detail and empathetic personality and kindness with a very focused loyalty to his position at Life Storage) have helped me hold on to the hope I have always had in society. Real customer service still exists…rarely, but it does! I have all of my beloved belongings safely stored at Life Storage. I know my personal belongings that I love so much are extremely safe here. I’ve spent an ample amount of time there to witness the amazing job Preston does to supervise, manage, protect, and service this storage facility. He is awesome and understanding, but will go above and beyond to protect the facility and its clients. Don’t dump your garbage in the Life Storage dumpsters because Preston will be right there to make sure you don’t get in trouble by reiterating the rules us storage clients have signed off on. However, if you need to stay there after hours to organize your space, Preston will be more than ok to allow you extra time (yes, he still provides security after hours even if we aren’t technically supposed to be there). Preston and the new manager have been in my top 5 list of constant communication due to the amount and longevity of hospital stays. While still following strict security measures, they have allowed me to secure my belongings and make it super easy to keep up with payments, deadlines, by-laws, etc. So- thank you Preston, management, and Life Storage as a whole: you’ve helped me protect the important pieces of my life (and my junk I’m not physically ready to organize) and given me one less thing to worry about. You guys rock!
