Always amazing no matter if it’s a custom order or just picking up some delicious cupcakes. Wonderful people who are involved in the community and continue to maintain their great treats. Support local especially when it a local TV star.

So I been a customer of Lily’s for 3-4 years and every birthday I will design my own cake and have a drawing of what I wanted. The first few years were pretty good cakes they were super beautiful and 3D figurines for the cakes. But recently they stopped doing the 3D figurines I don’t know why! And now they use stick eatable figures, The cakes have become more little and not worth the price. The cake has a big nasty layer of fondant more than cake. I’m so disappointed of the last cake that I got done for my sons birthday last week. It was completely empty from the top it didn’t look professional it wasn’t worth what I paid for. All I could think of is “I should of made the cake myself” it wasn’t such a hard cake to make. I will never recommend anyone to this place again like I have before, because they are lacking and their prices isn’t worth it for what you receive. The picture I provided was not what they made me this is a picture of what I wanted and my cake was no where near that. I had to stick to the fact that I wouldn’t get 3D figurines on the cake, which I agreed to. I didn’t get a good portion off elements on top of the cake like this one. They didn’t follow instructions on where the name of the birthday person was supposed to go. They basically did it their way and ignored what I wanted.

The 2nd time I’m trying this place and probably my last. For some reason the icing on all the cupcakes I bought had a weird cleaning/perfume taste…the taste was was off. I think they either cleaned the cakes case/display with cleaner and the essence got on the cupcakes. I bought six different flavors and they all had that weird taste and definitely not normal what I had the first time I tried them.

I had heard so much about this place and saw her creation for Cake Wars. All the cupcakes in the store did look great. I didn't realize that the Lemon Raspberry and Strawberry Shortcake had whipped cream inside as well. The cupcakes were a gift and they do not like whipped cream or even a lot of icing. For them, it was a waste of money. If the icing was just on top and not swirled into the top half of the cupcake, they would have enjoyed them more. My son said it tasted like an average cupcake. Not bad, but not fancy. Maybe if they tried something else, they'd like them better.

Cupcakes had a food smell in them as if they were refrigerated near cooked food. I could go on about them but bottom line is they were cold and not fresh Cupcakes they has the texture and taste of two day old ones or store bought.

I can honestly say this with confidence because my sister is a culinary artist that specialized for a few years in the cake making industry.

Will not go back here again

These are not the basic cupcakes! They have different flavors daily and are delicious! Buy 5 get 1 free is my favorite special!

Not impressed for the price. Lemon raspberry was ok. Had some flavor. Coconut cream wasn’t good. The icing on them was not bad but no better than a supermarket. Don’t waste your money on dry, cheap tasting cupcakes.

Thank you for this amazing and delicious cake inspired in Tony Tony Chopper from One Piece. My daughter's face was priceless, she was so surprised and happy. I will have to share it with friends because I'm trying to cut calories and this cake is irresistible.can't stop eating.lol

The cup cake taste good and they have variety of cake but their aren’t freshly made and they are dry

This has been my go to spot for cupcakes since I moved here 5 years ago. They have always been so amazing and i rave about them constabtly. My friend got to have his daughter for her bday for the first time in 10 years, so i was super excited to get cupcakes for her from lily's. I always get like 1 of each. I did the buy 10 get 2 free with almost 1 of each like always. I was very disappointed in the cupcakes this time. They were stale and the frosting "tasted funny" (per the 11yr old). Like freezer burnt tasting. I've never seen an 11year old not eat cupcakes, but she refused to eat any of them. That was her bday cake and I spent almost 40$. We ended up throwing them away. Very disappointed and embarrassed that that was her bday cake.

Ordered a cake for sons high school graduation and was disappointed. I will admit the outward appearance was very nice but the taste was lacking. For its price tag the cake was dry and tasteless, very disappointing. Called and asked to speak to someone about the cake but have not gotten a call back.

My son would bring cakes and cupcakes from Harker Heights Lilys and we always raved about them so I ordered a dozen cupcakes and a cake for Easter combined with Birthday. Like earlier post my guest nor I could believe how bad they tasted. Out of 12 cupcakes 10 tasted like a dirty fridge or as if they had been frozen. Everyone that knows Lilys product all had they same reaction; yeah her product has gone down hill lately, either shes not the one baking because she's to busy doing TV spots or she's baking ahead to stay ahead. I was so disappointed. From bad taste in frosting to the cupcakes themselves. I even ordered a week ahead thinking we would get fresh. Sad when businesses lose their touch over time. The cake was pretty but was texture of cornbread. Not moist at all and had wayyyyyyyy to much frosting on it. Sorry 2 stars is for pretty.

I paid $15 for 4 cupcakes that tasted like they came from a grocery store bakery. Rip off. Do not buy from here.

My daughter wanted a specific heart shaped cake for her birthday. The cake was exactly like the picture I sent them. The communication/customer service was also great. I am not a cupcake lover in general so I only tried their cheese cake cupcakes which were awesome. My kids love the salted caramel and German chocolate cupcakes. They had chocolate covered strawberries for Valentine's day which were the best I ever tasted.

Lily’s in HH has been my go to spot. 5 Star Quality when fresh! I also loved the creative young lady in the Temple store. Hate it closed
I’ve been here since 2010 & all the bakeries advertise day old cup cakes and sell them as such- reduced rate…. I think Lily’s should do the same. Out of 6 cupcakes not 1 was fresh from what I purchased yesterday. I was grossly disappointed as I was celebrating….
Keeping them cold does not equate to fresh. This has not happened just once, its becoming more common place and at one point it had not been the case. Customer Service is always on point! I just think being more upfront about day old or days old cupcakes gives the customer a better idea on selecting the fresher treats. When fresh they freeze well etc…. Please consider advertising day old cupcakes. When you spend almost $20 you want freshness…

I loved the variety of flavors to choose from Red Velvet, Lemon, Cookies, and Cream, Chocolate  Decadence, you think it, more than likely you will see it. The Frosting always complemented the cake, which was moist light and airy. Each flavor very distinctive of each other (FRESH)

I purchased 1/2, a dozen cupcakes for approximately $17.00. Six different flavors, every single cupcake tasted as if it was pre-made left in a refrigerator or frozen 2 weeks prior and sold as if it was made 1-2 days before a customer purchase. The cupcakes were stale and dry. The Frosting (ALL) had a after taste of a lingering flavor that should not be stored with pastries. A recommendation to stop freezing your cupcakes, clean & deodorizer your freezers and display cases last but not least let your customers know that your products are not fresh, being how perishable your product can be. Give your customers transparency; I can buy better fresh cupcakes and hand crafted from HEB. Your expertise is cakes and cupcakes, and a food chain does better than you. Reset and go back to your basics that made you a favorite.
