Liz Carpenter Splash Pad reviews
11I like the idea of this splash pad but I suspect that the city may have turned down the water pressure to save water in the summer because the amount of water coming out of the jets was way less than you would expect and a lot of the jets didn't have any water coming out. We thought maybe there was a button to push nearby to turn it "on" but we couldn't find one. We were able to splash each other to stay cool so it still served it's purpose but could be more fun if working at full bore. Still a good way to cool off if you're nearby with kids.
I wish I would have read the reviews. It's a beautiful playground but the splash pad doesn't work. Don't waste your time driving over here in the evening for the water. Just go to the playground.
Not all sprinklers were working and the water was supper low my kids were disappointed also did I because I wanted them to have fun water temp was warm.
Most of the sprinklers are not working and/or have water. There's a large playground nearby which helps to keep the kids entertained. If the sprinklers were working would be a great place for summer.
Such a fun place to bring the family especially on a hot day. Make sure to being sunscreen and snacks to make the whole experience a fun one! You can also go to the super fun for all ages park next to it and have fun on the slides, swings, music station and maybe even play a game of life size chess. There are foam blocks now that the kids can stacks and demolish while playing in the water. Small tip: Go during the week if you want it to be less crowded.
Enjoy!
Beautiful park, different playscapes than you normally see. Very cute. Beautiful area. However the splash pad itself is a bit disappointing. It's small, can easily get crowded, and the water level coming from the sprayers was very low.
Definitely could use more shaded seating for parents, but it's clean and working most of the time!
Amazing space, the kids had a blast. Great job City of Austin Parks Dept.upgrading and maintaining the park and fountain.
My only complaint, how we small, is it would be nice to have more shade fir us to sit under while the kids splash. The pad itself is wonderful and the new park is awesome!
This place is awesome with the new stuff they added for the kid's! We all loved it there and always have fun.
The view is pretty and the pond but the thing is the Liz Carpenter Splash Pad is kind horrible cause the lights dont work the water pressure is low and other fountains dont work I remember all was beautiful when I was little but now wow
