Better steak at Texas Roadhouse and half the price. Brussel sprouts were good though! Wont be back, too expensive for average food at best

Bar tender was was amazing atmosphere was great. Willing to come back and try other food. But the chicken fried stake was terrible. Bland and thin. It's not worth 27 bucks. Could slightly taste the freezer. Obviously, they have to serve frozen food to prevent food loss. I'd stick to the burgers if I were u. You can get bigger and better and cheaper at a lot of other places.

Racist to the max! Restaurant was empty and we were told there was an hour wait plus we would sit outside. Larger party walked in they were seated immediately.

I absolutely loved dining here. The food was delicious, the portions large, and it was an absolute pleasure eating somewhere that didn't have half a dozen televisions going at once.
I'm definitely going to eat here again.

Elevated bbq / Texan restaurant with moist and high quality meats, parallel to its mother butcher shop.

We love this place. Our server Madi was the best. Our food was so good and came to our table fast. The food is outstanding. Our drinks that Audrey made were very good as well. This is our go to date night place. I would encourage everyone to go there to see how good it is. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

The New York strip steak was excellent. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, wonderful drinks and food. We will go back for sure.

The biscuits and gravy were legit! Very good food! Everyone walked away from the table full!

I had the Ranch chopped salad and although it was presented beautifully it was quite underwhelming, the house smoked turkey was terribly dry and the ranch dressing was very runny.
The service was ok.
The hostess acted super annoyed that we didn’t have a lunch reservation on Thursday, but seated us immediately and I seen a table that was dirty when we arrived and stayed that way until we left.
First and last visit.

We were able to get a small private room to celebrate my MIL's 90th birthday. She could hear all of us much better and there was no additional charge. We also like the fact that menu has more than BBQ and is more like a selection of Southern dishes.

You shouldn't service brisket that you cut for the lunch crowd. I was so embarrassed that I took friend your restaurant. Two hundred spent on a meal that only one person liked their choice, it was a salad. Please get your act together.

I went to Local Yocal BBQ and Grill for the first time and this is now my favorite restaurant in McKinney. I still like Harvest and Rick's Chophouse, but the quality of service and freshness of ingredients at Local Yocal are outstanding.

We loved our experience here. Great service, nice staff, & delicious food! Our first time here but it won’t be our last time My husband had the bbq plate with ribs, brisket, potato salad, & cole slaw. We also got the Macaroni and cheese which was incredible. I had the Texan sandwich which consisted of chopped brisket, cold slaw, and sausage-very good!

This is our favorite all around restaurant in McKinney. Food is outstanding and the service never disappoints. The gold standard for a local Texas dining experience.

We’d been here several times and always enjoyed it. It’s been a while so we recently went back for their weekend brunch. Our server was superb and the food was delicious. There was a minor issue with the food. Considering we ate every bite it was indeed minor. But we pointed it out to our server not really meaning it to be a complaint but more just to point it out. She listened carefully and immediately offered a resolution. A few minutes later the manager came over and apologized and let’s just say he went above and beyond to make sure we we’re not just happy but ecstatic with the service. It was very impressive. Our wonderful server and the manager combined with the excellent food made us sure to come back again soon.
When a restaurant is that dedicated to pleasing their customers it’s a sign of superior management and training of their staff.
Their service serves six stars.

Local Yocal has become a McKinney staple and a must-try for local residents and all passing through this great city. The dishes are creative, and the meat and sides are rich and juicy with flavor. You are likely to see the restaurant owner, with his cowboy hat, as he is very invested in the well-being of the restaurant and loves his customers. Five stars all the way!

Special of the day was the smoked brisket baked potato. Absolutely amazing! Best tasting brisket!
