Lonestar 24 HR ER, New Braunfels TX

Arrived at 2am w severe lower back and abdominal pain. The experience and treatment received was excellent. They treated me w care and confirmed the diagnosis I was experiencing. They are an excellent ER and I recommend them highly to anyone needing emergency assistance.

This is the cleanest, friendliest, efficient ER I’ve ever been in! It’s well stocked with drinks, snacks, and the onboarding was seamless. I’ll never go anywhere else!

I came here after not having success at Rosa Christus near Landa in New Braunfels the night prior, because they were so busy and the eait time was awful, I was in so much pain. This was my first experience with a long wait time there. I had no wait at Lonestar 24 HR ER. Easy check in. Although they dont take my insurance they were reasonable and so worth it! Very kind nurse Louie and his staff. Dr. Ortiz saw me promptly and listened well to me and had good bedside manor and address every problem I had. Both nurse Louie and Dr. Ortiz were super helpful in helping me figuring out what was wrong and what medication I could have since I'm nursing my baby and that can be complicated. I was in and out in an hour. However, that can vary from every situation and time you may go in. We will continue even though my insurance isn't accepted. The facility was so clean and sanitary and Rosa Christus was anything but that in there waiting room!

I went to Lonestar ER after a fall at home. I was in extreme pain. The Lonestar medical staff were professional, gentle, thorough and quick. I had no wait time at all. I just had to wait for x-rays to be read. Overall it was a wonderful experience. Dr. Bhatt was so kind and informative. He even checked on me at home.

Me and my family Loves the services at this emergency, all the staffs is amazing (receptionist, nurses and of course the doctors). They had been take care of our little one since he has 4 months old, always answer our questions and concerns about everything! In other words they do an amazing job! Thanks!

The best ER I’ve ever been to, hands down. Very professional people from the moment you check in, to the nurses and of course the doctors. Have been there numerous times and have always had the best care possible. In addition to my ER visits the doctor has even followed up on my health via phone calls to ensure my wellness and safety. This will be our family’s preferred ER as we continue with life’s journey knowing that medical issues happen unexpectedly.

My husband and I ended up here last night with him having extreme pain in his right side. Neither one of us knew what was going on and I’m thinking the worse. The doctors here were so calm and their bedside manner was so relaxing. I’m 9 months pregnant and seeing my husband the way he was caused a lot of stress but being there and having the doctors look at him and calm him down helped me too and it was overall an amazing experience. My husband hates doctors and never ever goes so it was really hard for him causing him to be tense and probably make it worse but he even relaxed a little with the doctors that were looking after him. The receptionist was super nice and honestly the whole experience was better than any doctors visits we’ve had. Hopefully we won’t have to again but will definitely come back if needed.

Wonderful experience this past weekend after injuring myself. The physician and nurse were phenomenal. The ER is clean and very welcoming.

I went into Lonestar 24hour Emergency Room on August 31st, 2023 with a serious leg infection. The ER staff were wonderful. I am prediabetic and have circulatory issues in my lower legs. The staff saved my life or saved my leg from potential loss by amputation; my infection was much more serious than I thought. It was a scary time, but the staff was very compassionate, direct and firm with me. I was promptly admitted, seen right away by a nurse, then saw the doctor within 10 minutes or so after admission. Dr. Nakimura put me on IV antibiotics, and I had to spend the night. It was a private room with its own bathroom, large and well equipped. The care was excellent. Lonestar ER is clean and well equipped. I highly recommend them, and if I could give them 6 stars I would.

I have always heard they are expensive and nickel and dime you but I had never yet experienced it myself. I was told they will run as many tests as possible to increase your billing statement even when you do not give consent. Well in April 2023 this was my experience also.

I was billed $2,663.71 & $1,162 for the same visit, for the same thing, "Visit for the evaluation and management of a patient. " When I called and asked why I was being charged two times, they gave multiple conflicting answers. When I asked why I was being charged multiple tests I never gave consent to they said the doctor felt it necessary. That is Bull.

In my past experiences, the doctor always is supposed to ask, would you like to be tested for Covid, Flu, etc, prior. They don't just do it and charge you. Nor did I have those things completed. To be charged multiple tests I never gave consent to and have the totals for each test be $492.93 & $492.85, and another $233.06 along with those two large numbers given above is insane.

Disappointed is an understatement.

Great service but be prepared for the bill. They do not tell you they will charge you a ton of money to walk in the door then nickel and dime you for anything and everything. Total rip off! Go to the regular Er.

Front desk staff Sandra and Connie were amazing! The nurse Liz was absolutely wonderful and Dr. Sipherd was so attentive! My daughter gives five stars!

We had a wonderful experience at Lonestar ER, one of the best experiences I’ve ever had with the medical industry. We were seen quickly and felt like a got a very thorough and honest conversation with the doctor. The staff was super friendly and hospitable. Of course you hope to never have to go to the ER, but if I ever need it again, this is where I will go.
