Absolutely terrible service and first conversation with the owner Meagan. They provide A LOT of content on their website and have what looks like solid policies in place for their dogs; however, that doesn't make them the pick of the litter breeder facility when looking for working dogs. At their price point, you have A LOT of options.

Warranties, puppy socialization, etc are what any respectable breeder is going to provide (there are always exceptions). Being the breeder, it is common knowledge and expected that you would know the puppy/litter tendencies better than your customers, and we must rely on you to make the biggest decision of puppy selection. Both customers and breeders should all know this by now as this has been the standard for years.

Building relationships with people that call and want to start the conversation is a two sided conversation. People call for information and to vet breeders, not to hear about drama with backyard breeders and John Wick dogs. For some of us, this isn't our first rodeo while others it might be their first phone call. This company (maybe just Meagan) needs to understand their audience a little better and first impressions.

I would not recommend this breeder to anyone based on the conversation I just had. She was giggly, unprofessional, confrontational, and used website references when asked structured feeler questions as if I was making her nervous. The conversation ended with her proclaiming, "I don't choose you, " as if that means something when trying to politely get off the phone.

An ~15 year commitment with a working dog starts with genetics and breeder trust. Without those two things you never know what you are going to get and warranties mean nothing. They seem to have started a good line of genetics here, but their litters are ALL OVER THE PLACE. This makes it hard to narrow down to what a customer might be looking for in their dog and your breeder MUST be understanding and 100% on the same page as you for the dog you are trying to acquire.

Again, I suggest everyone pass on them. Go find a breeder that will talk dog with you and listen to what you want both specifically and generally to learn about YOU. They should ask you about your background and provide relevant information to theirs and just have a conversation. They should respond respectfully and cleverly when/if you have enough experience to challenge them. You are calling for a reason and some of us will have done a lot of research on the company before making that call to start building a long fruitful relationship.

Truly sad as I had high hopes.

Long overdue review. LoneStar Malinois was amazing to deal with. Their process for obtaining a pup is excellent since they do everything they can to insure you and the pup are successful and that you are very aware of the breed. Milo (Meelo) is 18 months now, about 67lbs. From Gunner and Kore. Incredibly athletic and a very loving dog. I couldn't be happier with him. Loves to play and train. I would definitely use LoneStar Malinois again, both owners are very knowledgeable too and more than willing to help. Their communication during the process was very good as well. They truly care about their dogs.

We were in the registered Angus business for quite a few years and the foundation of any herd is genetics. They account for not only color but temperament, physical ability, and longevity. When we began looking for a Belgian Malinios, genetics was the cornerstone of our buying decision. I liked what I saw at Lone Star and I haven’t been disappointed.

Our pups have been as advertised…robust and healthy. They have a good mind and are more than willing learners. These traits are not an accident. These animals are the product of careful breeding by people who are invested in making your experience a great one and are willing to be there for you should you have any questions or concerns in the future. They are also aware that the animal placement needs to be correct for your situation and I believe they work hard to make sure that the animal fits your needs.

Now, I’m sure you can find “cheaper” animals, but you won’t find the quality and follow up that Lone Star can offer.

After spending countless hours searching for a breeder I could trust I stumbled upon LoneStarEliteK9.

I reached out and left a voice mail and it didn't take long for Meagan to call me back. She asked me what I was looking for in a Malinois and I explained my situation. Meagan was very patient and answered all of my questions. Megan would even answer questions I would text her in between calls.

We were matched with a perfect puppy and when my daughter (4 years old) and I picked him up Meagan and Justin sat down with us and answered any other questions and gave advice. They even had a very large goody bag with tons of things needed fora puppy.

A few weeks after pick up I was so amazed with our puppy and his learning and drive I sent a text asking Meagan something and she immediately called to answer and make sure everything was still great.

I recently dropped our big guy off with Justin for training and he is very informative and takes as much time as needed to talk and answer questions.

This is who I recommend to anyone who sees our puppy or asks where I got him.

We had a wonderful experience with Lonestar Malinois. Meagan and Justin are extremely knowledgeable about the breed and Meagan was very helpful in addressing all of my questions and concerns throughout the process. They picked a perfect puppy for us and we couldn’t be happier! Nala’s absolutely beautiful, a great family dog, SO smart, and so much fun. We have four kids and another dog and she has been a perfect fit. We couldn’t be happier! I love that they provide lifetime support and keep in touch after you take your puppy home. They truly love what that do and care about their dogs. If we were to ever decide to get another Malinois, we wouldn’t hesitate to go back to Lonestar! Nala has been an awesome addition to our family!

Definitely recommend Lone Star Malinois! Their process is very thorough, which may seem off-putting to the layman dog owner, but pays off with a Malinois. Truly a one-of-a-kind breed, which most people don't realize until they get one.

Justin and Meagan paired us with the perfect pup for our family & our needs. Over the last 4 months we've texted, called, and emailed them with questions about our puppy, and they are always incredibly responsive and informative. You can tell they absolutely love this breed, taking great pride in their puppies and the homes they go to.

In 2015, I started vetting Malinois breeders to help me decide if a Malinois would be a good choice for me and my family. Being a dog trainer I was looking for a puppy to train as my demo dog. After corresponding with a few breeders, Justin of Lonestar Malinois called me back and spent over an hour discussing the breed. Over the next few months Justin and I talked on the phone. He then invited me and my family to come visit the kennel so he could meet us. My son got to play fetch with one of his female Mals while he talked to my wife and answer any questions she had. He showed us around a little bit and met a few puppies. My son at that time was 4 yrs old and had so much fun with them. In June of 2016 we brought Banshee of Lonestar Malinois home. She has been an amazing companion and Protector! Look forward to getting our next Malinois from them!

As you can see, we immediately experienced some interesting things with our model, dubbed Major "Good Boy" Maligator.

As detailed in the first two photos, his paws were far too large for the rest of him and it would require months of careful feeding and training to balance the rest of his body mass accordingly. (That's before we found out about the appetite!)

The next two photos denote the amount of food and treats required to balance said oversized paws into a manageable footprint- given you are willing to accept the consequences of that growth. (Major was switched to raw @ 12wks, weighed 25lbs and nearly doubled in size over the next 30 days)

Be warned- we ordered the PUPPY Malinois and as you can see, we received a model several times larger than we expected. (He won't fit in anything labeled his size for long, so keep that in mind before you purchase any beds or harnesses)

This model also requires HEAVY interaction and skillful guidance, otherwise it begins to act out in different ways, such as following you around literally everywhere and always stealing your chairs just before you sit in them and then holding them ransom until you provide adequate attention and/or distraction to regain access. We also found that adding water regularly and allowing to air dry produced the best results, as seen in the remaining photos.

Major is 4 months old today, weighs 35lbs and is currently preparing to ship out for his protection training from none other than LoneStar Elite K9 Kennels.:)

Thanks LoneStar Malinois, you live up to the hype!

I am not much on giving reviews good or bad, but Meagan & Justin deserve the best. I would love to just talk about my Malinois Marlene because she is the one special dog to me. I want this to be all about LoneStarEliteK9. The dedication and work that Meagan and Justin put into their program goes beyond what they have to do. This is the best package deal you will ever find as far as a breeder. The knowledge, experience and the organization are exceptional. I think Meagan and Justin might actually have some Malinois DNA in their blood! The energy, love and dedication that they put into their program surpassed my expectations. In September Marlene will do be doing basic and advance training with Justin. This is why it's the best package deal, they offer it all and they are always available 24/7. They genuinely care about their babies even after they leave for their new home. Thank you, Meagan and Justin, for having a great organization and providing the best experience and dog for me!

I couldn't be happier with my beautiful, fun malinois, Luca! I remember when I first got her, some neighbors warned me, saying mals were very difficult dogs and would destroy my house. I previously had other "difficult" dogs (shiba inu and brittany), so far Luca has been the easiest of them. She is extremely responsive to training and not destructive at all. Potty training was easy and quick. Also, she's the only dog I've ever had that didn't naturally pull at the leash. Oh, and my cats love her!
Raising Luca so far has been a breeze and a great deal of credit goes to Lone Star Malinois for their well-bred dogs and early socialization. The acquisition process was painless and Meagan was always helpful. They sent us home with the largest and most useful goodie bag I've ever gotten!
I highly recommend Lone Star Malinois:)

A lot of research was done before finally settling on where to find my next addition. Lonestar checked all the boxes! Proven lines, proven litters, I actually went ahead and took the chance on a new litter, and I could not be more impressed with the baby gator that was placed with me!

The interview process was smooth, quick, and to the point. Meghan and her team definitely know how to pick and place them!

10/10 recommend, and already have sent their info to many LEOs and others who have seen my boy (raw and untrained, mind you) who are asking about him! When being approached by professionals who see specific traits and characteristics they look for in their own working dogs, it’s comforting to know that I was given exactly what I asked for and we cannot wait to see how far this boy goes!

We had a great experience with Lonestar. Bruno (Canek x Jexi) is not only an incredibly handsome boy, he has been near flawless with obedience and PSA/bite work. In addition to being a great worker, he has an awesome temperament. We got very lucky finding this breeder and getting the right k-9.

Love our beautiful brother Mals from Lonestar Malinois! “Ruger”-almost 3 years and “Sig” on left almost 2. Exceptional animals from great breeder! Wouldn’t hesitate for another.

I’d researched several breeders all over the country before I came across LoneStar and have to say that, hands down, this is by far one of the top breeders I’ve seen. Meagan is awesome, and their facilities and breeding program is amazing! My family is extremely happy with that decision. Would definitely recommend.

Incredibly rude owner. Jumps to conclusions and doesn't listen or let you respond. Save your money and go elsewhere.

I recently got a puppy from Lonestar Malinois and I couldn't be happier with the experience. From start to finish, the breeder was very professional and provided excellent communication throughout the process. They were always available to answer my questions and provide updates on the puppies.

When I visited the breeder, I was impressed with the cleanliness of their facility and the care they took in raising the puppies. It was clear that the puppies were well socialized and given plenty of love and attention.

My puppy has been a wonderful addition to my family and I can tell that she was well taken care of before she came to me. She has a great temperament and is already showing signs of being well-trained.

Overall, I highly recommend Lonestar Malinois to anyone looking for a responsible and caring dog breeder. They truly care about their puppies and are dedicated to finding them loving homes.

We got our girl Samantha (Piper) almost a year ago and she is exactly what we wanted and more! She’s fierce, fearless, brave, intuitive, loyal, loving to our kids, and a joy to all of us. She still amazes us every day! Our experience with Lonestar was lovely too, they were attentive, very detailed and prepared us very well for our pup. We’re definitely going to come back when we’re ready for another member to our family! Thank you Lonestar Malinois, Sammy has made our home a happy one!
