Lorraine Cherry Nature Preserve reviews
19We took a family portrait on a log here. If you like taking photos on logs, there is no shortage of logs here. They are sturdy logs that can easily support the weight of an entire human family.
Really nice running trail.it is concrete, so I can't run on it much, but it runs along the bayou and has dips and hills for a great workout while you run.
Interesting concept. You dial a number then give reference numbers from signs in the park to hear doscenty comments
It is a small spot. Has a trail and an open field area. There are a few benches. On the side we were on there was a picnic table. Good for small events or gatherings.
Loved this place settled in the middle of a neighborhood. Clean and a great walk. You feel safe. Wired street parking so you much try weekdays or early mornings.it is a toss up if busy or not.
A lovely little park nestled inside a neighborhood. Lots of quiet nature trails and a place to escape all the noise. Its not huge so it won't take long to explore all of it but if you are in the area and want to spend a little quiet time walking through nature you can't beat it. There isn't any playground equipment for the kiddos as its really just a nature area with trails.
What a delightful park. Only 22 acres, but the more you look, the more you see. A small treasure in the middle of a suburban area.
Nice nature trails and overall decent Park. Only two things that were negatives is that someone was camped out in the middle of the nature trail area and apparently some people don't keep their dogs on a leash. I have two small children and one dog started approaching then that didn't look friendly at all. All the owner did was whistle which the dog didn't pay attention to at all. Eventually they walked over too get there dog but this was after scooping my children and being at the door to my car.
We went here to do a woodsy family photo shoot.
It was the perfect spot with lots of foliage and very few people for a Saturday morning.
I came here because it was recommended to as an "urban oasis", but I was really disappointed. It is a very short trail and you would have to loop around about 4x just to make about a mile. It is very shaded, but definitely not the prettiest park I've ever been to. It would be a decent place to go if I lived in that neighborhood, but not worth the trip for those who don't live close by. There were stopping points for a virtual tour, which is nice to teach kids about decent plant species, but not really anything super interesting.
Awful
Little to no parking, nothing to see, and you get attacked by mosquitoes when you got into the trai.
Grass is over grow everywhere
This is basically a very small nature preserve with a walking path. It's nice being in there, though the bugs can be fierce during the summer. There's also a baseball field and some small green spaces which are good for a little picnic or taking photos.
Had fun running around with my 4 year old today. This park makes it feel as if you are off on a real hike and not in the middle of a neighborhood.
Lovely little neighborhood park. The park is dense with trees so it feels like you’re escaping the city. It’s lovely. Check it out.
I love this park! It has a nice shade all over the trails! Great to go with family or friends!
Nature doing what nature does best. Every where you look there are impressive trees that grow everyday living among the trees that have fallen.
Nice little gem hidden in the heights. Long walking trails covered all around by trees. Perfect for a walk without having to be in the sun. Plus, it seems like you're walking in a forest with all those trees around. A few open spaces large enough to kick the ball around for a bit. The down side is there is no playground or swings for the kids.
Very cool park, total nature reserve with several paths. Keeps cool in the summer because of total tree coverage.
