Los Cucos Mexican Cafe, Katy TX

Had a previous experience with Los Cucos so we decided to try this one while we were in downtown Katy. I cannot tell you how bad the food was, I took two bites of my carnitas taco and instantly knew the meat was not fresh-it was from yesterday or the day before and warmed up. It had a taste and smell that just was not right. My daughter had chicken taco’s and son in law shrimp tacos and we all agreed it just didn’t taste right. Even the chips were stale. Tonight I am paying a heavy price by taking those two bites…. It’s going to be a long night. Don’t risk it by eating here.

Order was wrong but didnt want to hold up the other guests and ate it anyway. Was OK but would have been much happier with the order I placed.

Great service, the staff is prompt and always ready Togo, plates are fantastic hospitality is beyond at this fancy restaurant

Manager said he couldn’t help unless I bring back the wrong order that I threw in the trash. I don’t eat shrimp.

Gave me food poisoning. Diarrhea and dry heaving all night. Didn't even have any alcoholic drinks.

It is a nice restaurant. They are able to accommodate from two to 14 (in our party), plus more with ease. I don't speak Spanish, so it was a little difficult to pick up the waiters heavy dialect, but I managed. There was only one snafu in the ordering and delivery of the meals, but it was taken care of.
My only complaint is that the chopped white chicken in my Skinny Avacodo dish was extremely dry. I mean chalk in the mouth dry. I had to cover it in salsa to make it palatable. The beef was really juicy and good. I'd order the beef, again.
Aii in all, I'd go back, and not order anything that has chopped white chicken.

Had a great time today with a dear friend! The hostess Estafani was soooo sweet and attentive. Lalo (our waiter) was funny and also very attentive. The food was good but mostly the drinks are what made the place great! They were tassssty! Great job everyone!

Fantastic food, and exceptional customer pick up service by all Old Katy staff and Ana! Ordered takeout on a Friday night, but the service was superb. The first employee who saw me directed me to the separate pick up section, and the two women working that section were prompt and alert. Ana offered me a free drink while my food took another minute to finish, and I felt taken care of and valued. Started eating my beef fajita quesadilla the moment I got to the car, and as always, it was divine. Such a huge difference between the Old Katy and Katy Mills locations, and I’ll be loyal to the Old Katy location for life. Thank you!

Absolutely superb! As always. They have a couple of delicious Keto items on menu now. Keto Stuffed Avacados are divine. I LOVE THIS RESTAURANT!

Went in and placed an order to go. This was ok. But when I got home the food was cold and I live less than 2 minutes from this location. Had to put food in microwave. Not what I expected.

Our absolute, all-time favorite Tex Mex. Some of the best beef fajitas and delicious tortillas.

It's a very busy place on Saturday evening.food was okay & the service was good.the beef fajita was not tender enough to cut with a knife.chicken fajitas where okay.the chips, queso, salsa and guacamole were good.

Amazing food and drinks were amazing. First time there and definitely will be going back. Yes the drink is as good as it looks.

We had such a great lunch here! The inside is a shocker! Don’t let the outside fool you, go in and have a great meal in a extremely clean and nice restaurant!

The only thing I wouldn't recommend is the caldo de res. It may have been an off day, but the meat and veggies were very tough, and it was a bit overpriced compared to other restaurants in the area. That was the first (and only) negative experience I've had there in terms of food, though.

Their stuffed avocados are amazing!

The food is good, it's the hostess service that struggled. She needed help but none came and she also had no sense of urgency but yet she was friendly. Altogether we will be back.

The food was delicious and the staff are attentive and friendly. The dining area was kind of noisy with happy patrons eating and enjoying the time out so without me having to ask they took the initiative to sit my family in a separate area where we could eat and converse without having to shout across the table. The food was just the right temperature and the prices were very reasonable. The location is hard to park at because there are not many spots designated towards the restaurant. I definitely recommend this Los Cocos to anyone who really wants comfort food and a good time with family and friends.
