LOS RIOS CAMPGROUND, Camp Wood TX

Great place to camp with all amenities. We decided to tent camping but enjoyed the full community kitchen and hot showers. Heather was committed to making sure that we had the extras to make our stay comfortable. They have adorable tiny homes and cabins. They are working on having something for everyone.

Campground is conveniently located across from “quince” swimming hole. I believe it was about $5/person but well worth it. The rest of the river is open to Los Rios campground visitors. The campground was very family friendly and my son had plenty of kids to hang out with. After we checked out I took my son fishing and Heather the manager had no issues allowing us to park the camper off to the side for a few hours while we fished. Awesome management

We love bringing our family here. It’s our escape from the city. Plenty of space for the kids to run around and explore. The river is just feet away. The cabins are perfectly spaced apart from each other. It felt like we had our own area. If you’re looking for a spot to relax and enjoy the quiet this is the spot! Checking in and out was easy. No issues at all. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a get away to give this place a try.

We had our son’s first birthday party/family reunion and this was the best experience! Heather took care of us and our friends and family LOVED it! If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing, family fun spot (great for kids and dogs) this is the place!

Where do I begin, This place is everything for anyone. The Campground is clean with all the amenities. I stayed in Cabin 11 one of the newer tiny homes, they were super clean and the beds are very comfy. The Staff at this campground went above and beyond to make sure we had everything needed to enjoy our stay shoutout to Heather for being one of the best hosts ever! The River front access is great the water wasn't that cold this time of year:). And take every moment you can to just be quiet when it gets dark and look up you will not be disappointed at the stars you will see. Run don't walk to book your next solo/family vacation to one of the Best swimming holes with an even better campground. Cant wait to go back!

We reserved 3 tent sites and were extremely happy. They offer water and electric but we could not resist the secluded riverside tent site (w/o water & electric). They have the nicesest bathrooms which is not something alot of camp grounds can say. New owners are doing a fabulous job. Thank you Heather for taking great care of us. Can't wait to come back!

I sure would Love to be able to make reservations at this place but no body answers the phone my wife has called multiple times a day and email inquiry as well and nothing back. We are interested in booking but no other way to do that then over the phone.

Great place for a family reunion. Mgmt is very nice and didn't mind our late nights at the Pavillion or karaoke. River is right across the road. Had a great time and highly recommend.

The man in the golf cart that monitors the site is rude and disrespectful. Do not recommend this park. 0 stars for me

Really nice place. Beautiful riverside campground. Clean bathrooms and showers. Water and electrical receptacle in the tent camping area. Bicycle and southern tier friendly. Close to town.

Had a wonderful experience staying here for A WEEKNED with my family everything was good and as i expected.

The cabins are clean and cozy and management is very responsive and friendly! It's a great place to spend a peaceful, fun weekend. I love the enclosed off leash dog area!

How can I reach them to make a reservation I have tried multiple ways to do so and no luck whish is very disappointing!

My family & I spent the whole weekend there & we loved every minute of it. The cabins were cozy but we would recommend to check your beds for scorpions as we found one on ours. Other than that, Los Rios Campground gave us a fun, very enjoyable weekend we will never forget & we are planning a return trip for next year.

It’s beautiful and a really convenient place to spend a few hours swimming in the river. Water is deep enough for an adult to swim for 100 or so yards which is rare to find in these central TX Rivers. IMPORTANT LOGISTICS ITEMS … >>>

1. $5/person to park and access the river for the day.

2. When you park there is an attendant who will show up and take the entry fee and give you a parking sticker. Closes at 8: 30pm.

3. There are steps to get down to the water but if you are not able bodied you will have issues and would not recommend.

4. You can bring your own food and drinks and can even grill out in the parking lot.

5. This is a popular spot so don’t expect to have the river to yourself. But it’s not crazy and everyone was very friendly and respectful.
