Lovers Eggroll reviews
19 Lets just say i will never be going back to this place ever again!
the food was awful.the portion size for orange chicken is the size for a child but priced as an adult meal and the wonton soup looked like it was made for some kind of wild animal! I dont usually leave a review but this was just the worst chinese food ive ever had yet alone looked at! You guys should really change some of this stuff and look at your competitors food.by far the worst food ive had since being alive in 36 years!
GET IT TOGETHER!
My recent visit to Lover's Egg Roll in Dallas was a remarkable experience that exceeded all my expectations. The restaurant, a charming family-owned establishment, exudes a warm and inviting ambiance that makes you feel right at home.
The menu was extensive, offering a tantalizing array of dishes. I was particularly impressed by their signature egg rolls - a perfect blend of crispiness and flavorful filling. However, the star of the show for me was the Orange Chicken. It was a delightful dish with a harmonious blend of tangy and sweet flavors, and the chicken was cooked to perfection - tender and juicy.
What also stood out was the fact that Lover's Egg Roll is a family-owned business. This was reflected in the care put into their food and the attentive, personal service we received. It's heartwarming to see such dedication and passion in the culinary world.
Multiple times in the past month, we have placed pick up and delivery orders as well as try to visit in person and every time they have closed early by in upwards of an entire hour. Last week we arrived at 9: 05 and were told they weren't busy so they closed early - 55 minutes early. Tonight we ordered delivery at 8: 55 and have now had 4 delivery drivers tell us they have attempted pick up but no one was in the building - beginning at 9: 15,45 minutes before they claim to close. This is becoming a huge habit of this establishment and is unacceptable!
The first time I ordered, it was good. However, there was a cockroach in my food this time. I CANT DEAL with this shot now
Ordered from this place on Uber eats and the food was absolutely terrible. I’m so upset I wasted money on this place. Please avoid going here.
I seen a lot of mixed reviews about the place. I got the combo spicy flat noodle, and there was no real flavor it was just bland nothing screams quality or flavor. The only reason it’s not a 1 star is because it wasn’t nasty just not flavor. I won’t be ordering from this place anymore.
I ordered for pickup, and it was quite an unusual experience lol. It's located next to a 7 Eleven so I stopped there first, walked next door to the restaurant, and there's a small alley that leads to the pick-up orders. The food just happened to be sitting at the top of the steps, kind of just out for grabs, but either way I got it! So the combination rice was amazing. The soup was pretty good too, although I've never had a dark broth before. Overall not too bad, maybe next time I'll eat in the restaurant ha.
I ordered the combo fried rice, orange chicken, fried chicken dumplings, and an egg roll.
1) rice is mush with frozen mixed veggies thrown in
2) orange chicken is not orange chicken at all - it’s more of a cross between teriyaki and sweet and sour (very dark)
3) egg roll tasted sour like vinegar (hopefully the one bite won’t make me sick later)
4) chicken dumplings just greasy!
Overall, The food is DISGUSTING. Poorly made with very cheap ingredients. I’m hoping I don’t end up with food poisoning.
Lovers egg roll is the best Chinese food my family and i have had, we travel 30 mins to eat here! My family and i have ate at this restaurant for 15+ years and we have always had great customer service along with amazing chinese food! When asked whats the best Chinese spot i say lovers egg roll every time
We have been eating lovers egg roll for years now! Only Chinese restaurant we eat
Update: This use to be my favorite Chinese restaurant but as of recent the service has gone down extremely bad. This waitress only comes ones and never checks on you again.
This is how I received my food!
Absolutely disgusted
My total was closer to $100 than one dollar and this is how my food is packaged?
So I went there because I wanted to eat some Chinese food and was in the area I ordered eggs rolls and shrimp fry rice I had a fried roach in my food
Warning* this is not the Original lovers egg roll from lemon Ave and Mckinney. There was also one on mockingbird near SMU. The previous mentioned locations served wonderful food! They are both now closed The current company using the name IS HORRIBLE! The food portions are a third of what was served at the original locations and cost substantially more. I addition the food itself isn't good either. The parking is horrible at this location. The wait times are ridiculous, even putting in a order online didn't work still waited 27 minutes past the time I was told it would be ready. They offer curbside pick up but won't bring your food out. It's just horrible find some where else! There is a great place on mockingbird between 35 and love field that has become my spot for Chinese. Great service, good food, nice portions all at a great price!
NO! The WORST Chinese food I’ve ever had. My food was burnt and tasted extremely old and tough. Eggroll was old.
Food was hot! I ordered thai curry vegetable fried rice (IT Wasn't SPICY AT ALL!) & beef fried rice I didn't get any napkins and got 2 duck sauce and 2 soy sauce for two large containers of food even after I ask for extras! I paid $28 to much not to get napkins and extra sauce
Good food. Great value. The staff is friendly, and always makes sure we have a pleasant dining experience. My Chinese food go to.
Wonderful restaurant, run by a wonderful family. The sesame chicken and egg drop soup are the best!
This place was horrible - the chicken was stale and inedible. Got some wicked nausea after coming here. 40$ later and my apetite was gone.
This was the most tasteless Pad Thai that I have ever had. I’m not sure the chef understood that there are supposed be be scallions peanut sauce and spices mixed with the bland rice noodles. What a waste of money.
