Luby's, Houston TX

We tried the tilapia and wasn't the best. The food seems to be cooked earlier in the day is being reheated and tasteless.

I liked how they too care to have on mask, spaced out seating and put food in to go covered section plates.

It was horrible it was cold the chicken fried chicken was stale and nasty the macaroni and cheese was just as bad the only thing that was good was the sweet tea I will not be back such a disappointment

Today's experience wasn't so great. My son and I waited until just after 11am when the restaurant was supposed to open so we could eat. On entering and getting in line, grabbed our trays noticed there was no country fried steak on the line. Asked and eas told it wasn't made yet. Ok, so we wait. Sitting there on the bench with trays in hand 30 minutes pass and no country fried steaks brought out. I ask my son to enquire about how much longer. We were then told it could be over an hour since the meat hadn't even been butchered yet. How does this happen? Did they really think we'd sit there on the bench, trays in hand for over an hour and a half? Why wouldn't they tell us sooner. What a waste of time and a bad experience. Sadly could be our last experience before Luby's is no more.

My sons fave place to go for great home cooked comfort food. Staff is always fast and friendly.

Good food. Sad that they are closing at some point. I felt like the staff that goes around to the tables were overwhelmed. They needed extra resources in this capacity to attend to the customers.

Great service. We arrived 3 minutes before closing and they still served us. Menu seems to be reduced due to Covid.

On a Sunday called several times no answer so decided to go to location never had problems before however sat in line for just about 1 hour plus and still not able to order who ever is in head of operation need to really rethink how they are handling things

Worse drive thru they take like 1 hour just with 5 cars, workers dont work quickly and they are disrespectful 0 stars bad service dont recommended

They are so friendly and patient with me and my two children. The service is on point! It's a very clean restaurant and the food is always great.

If you love a plate of food with a pound of salt on it this place is fantastic! Great servers and a kitchen that serves ruined food.

Ordered fried fish using Uber Eats and they left out the tartar sauce. Completely ruined the meal. Luby's is good, but I would avoid using Uber Eats or any other delivery service with them.

A favorite from my childhood, when the hubby and I can't decide and a Luby's is near it is the best option. Selection is great, quality meal with great portions. I wish i didn't have to drive to far. Would eat there more I need veggies.

I didn't really like the chopped steak and mashed potatoes. The stuffing/dressing was terrible. The lemon chess pie was nice. I like Luby's, but this location isn't as good as other ones that I have been to. This one is ok. It would have been good if they labeled the food.

I appreciate you for being open on Thanksgiving. I know it's hard for the employees being away from their families on this day but I lost my parents and this is where I go now. Thank you.

I wish new owners would stop trying to fix something that's not broke. Leave the food and service alone!

Have not been to Luby's in a long time but while we were traveling we needed a fast place to eat that wasn't fast food. Got the fried cod I guess it is that I had not had for several years but it met my expectations and was so good. Definitely makes me want to go back again.

Excellent food, especially the vegetables! The girls that assist you after your seated are wonderful!

We come to this location often and often recognizes the faces of the staff. The food is always good but yesterday the corn dressing was exceptionally good. Our waitress, Ms. Gloria is pleasant and awesome. She even offered my wife a freshly brewed coffee after she finish her meal which my wife accepted. Thank you, Ms. Gloria. You made a difference in our dining experience.

One of the cleanest and freshest Luby's I have ever been too. The ladies were fantastic and the food was hot. My team enjoyed their meal. Thank you to management for accommodating such a big team.

GREAT place for those on low carb/keto! Homemade food from scratch. Hard to find a place that isn't all frozen and reheated food, but this is it. Angus chopped steak, blackened tilapia, grilled chicken breast, grilled salmon, roasted chicken, carved roast beef and turkey, steamed broccoli, spinach, green beans, and sometimes cauliflower and zucchini squash if available! No added sugars or fillers. Oh, and customizable tossed salads. Great place to eat, especially when you're watching WHAT you eat! Luby's is a diamond in the rough for a health conscious culture.
