Lucas Tire & Auto Service, Austin TX

Lucas Tire & Auto is the only place I take my car and trust because of their integrity, honesty, and knowledge. I have been meaning to write a review, but they have been consistent and helpful for years on my lovely old 2008 Ford Focus. They are honest and unless something is critical, they don't recommend additional work or charge for unnecessary repairs outside of scope.

I have lived both in South Austin and Round Rock after originally taking my car here and still only take my car here because it is the only place I trust. I am grateful because they are always on point and will be straight with you. They are communicative and give clear timelines/rundowns of the situation after they survey the car and have always come through for me. Whether it is maintenance or a big repair, I recommend them fully to keep your car running well and makes a tough auto situation better when you don't have to question or worry.

As a female, finding a trustworthy mechanic is difficult. Lucas Tire was recommended by a friend years ago and it’s the only place I feel safe knowing I won’t get screwed over. Now multiple friends have been going for years. They’re very friendly, always going above and beyond. I couldn’t recommend them enough!

First time at Lucas Tire and they were super friendly and quick. I had a screw in my tire, patched up in about an hour and out the door for $25. Will definitely return in the future.

These guys gave me a free diagnostic and charges half of what other shops quoted me. Fast, friendly, efficient. 10/10

I LOVE these guys. They are so honest and caring and have great expertise on all of the things. I've used them for you're changing, maintenance, and repair on several different vehicles (Nissan Sentra, Volvo XC-40 electric, Mazda RX-8), and they have been magnificent and communicative every single time. They never let me overpay, and literally every person I've interacted with who works here has been kind and friendly. They are doing something right to have happy employees and happy customers!

Goodyear didn't want to repair my brand new punctured tire which I had bought from them a week before. Took the car to Lucas's and they were able to fix it in no time for only 25 bucks.

Best experience I’ve ever had at an auto mechanic before. Heath and Ty were super helpful and honest about how long it would take to fix my brakes and do an oil change. I had taken it to a previous mechanic six months ago and they said I needed two brakes replaced for $300. Not here! They gave an honest recommendation and told me I still have about 10,000 more miles until my brakes need to be fixed. They under promised and over delivered!

Jay and the team at Lucas Auto are the kindest, most trustworthy set of auto professionals that I've had the pleasure of doing business with. As a young woman, you're always skeptical of being taken advantage of when it comes to auto repairs. These guys are just as honest as they come. I cannot tell you how many times I'm convinced I have a high ticket repair, only for them to tune it up and tell me it's fine. They never even charge me to check it out.
Their customer service is top notch and they can almost always get me in within 24 hours. I cannot sing their praises enough. I'm moving out of town, and I am not kidding when I say that Lucas Auto is at the top of my list of things I'll miss when I leave Austin. They are the best.

Went to get my car inspected at Terry's but they were closed early. Drove around and saw a State Inspection sign on Lucas Tire and Auto Service building.

They were able to perform the inspection immediately. It took about 10 min and I was on my way.

Really helpful for all my car issues, big or small. Excellent customer service. They have patched my tires, figured out my battery issue and I got my vehicle inspection done here. Highly recommend it
