Lucchese Bootmaker, San Antonio TX

LOVE! While in San Antonio visiting a friend in May 2023, she took me to Lucchese Bootmaker to buy my first pair of cowboy boots after I told her I am going to the Omak Stampede and Suicide Race in Omak, Washington in August. The Lucchese store is beautiful, smells fantastic, and I was awed at the selection of their quality boots and accessories.
We were greeted by Frank, super friendly, who is amazing at explaining the boot to a newbie such as me (learned so much). Ended up buying two gorgeous Lucchese boots for my new-found love of Texan style. Also bought some socks, care cream for my Black Cherry Ostrich Josephine boots, and suede spray for my Marlin Blue Edie boots.
My friends and I went dancing that night at Thirsty Horse Saloon in San Antonio (which is an awesome place), danced quite a bit in my new Josephine boots - they were comfy the whole night.
After dancing in my new boots, Frank had them both shipped to my home in Wisconsin. I am now looking for places to show them off here!
Thank you to my friends Patricia and Artie for taking me to such a fine store. I love my boots, and since then I have purchased my third pair from Frank - the Priscilla in Glitz Cream. Just got them. Can't decide which pair to wear, they are all so gorgeous. Excited to be wearing Lucchese!

Dropped off my s*** kickers I can't believe how much the price has gone up on resoling. Yikes

Just walked in to buy some shirts, there were 4 employees working not one person asked us if we needed help or acknowledged us. Pretty sad they act Stuck up making minimum wage.

I relish every chance I have to visit a Lucchese store. I get to browse beautiful examples of fine craftsmanship and am always helped by friendly, knowledgeable people. The San Antonio store exemplifies these qualities.

Buyer BEWARE really bad service here if you don’t look like you have lots of money they flick there nose up at you. Then also they didn’t have my size so the guy says oh we have one at the factory and can ship to your house so there just focused on making commissions. So a week and a half goes buy I call to see why my boots I paid in full mind you have not came then they tell me they don’t have this size and it could take 6 months. Every time I’ve called the store I get run around that the guy that sold me boots Frank is with a client and never calls back to give me a ETA on boots or anything. Very very bad service. I will not be buying another pair. I was lied too straight up and they act like it’s normal to do customers like this. So be careful.

Very nice people work there. I had an issue with some boots I bought there and they made every effort to make it right. I appreciate good service and they made sure to make my long drives to the store worth it.

While they did not in-fact have the boot I was looking for; the attentive staff at this location took the time to show me a similar style so I could get an idea of the texture. They then told me how to best quickly get the boots I wanted barring actually buying from the location. Customer service over commission.

Met a salesman there by the name of Sly. He was very knowledgeable and he went out of his way to get me the boot I wanted from another state. Top notch service and product.

I scheduled a “custom boot fitting” over the phone 2 months in advance and got email confirmation of my appointment. It was to be 30 minutes before the store opened. The gentleman told me to just knock on the door when I arrived. I showed up at 9: 30 am as scheduled and they had no record of my appointment. I was told by the employee that they don’t do custom fittings there. I showed them my email confirmation and they told me to come back in 30 minutes. The gentleman was perturbed that I had shown up. When I got into the store I realized they had no interest in selling me boots. We left without getting any fitting. I think this store would be fine if you are looking for off the shelf items but don’t expect any customer service

We just had the best experience at this Lucchese store. Frank helped us find the perfect boot for my husband and easily ordered me the discontinued boot style that I had been looking for. We will definitely be back. Thank you!

Friendly, attentive staff. We were visiting San Antonio from out of town and returned home with my first pair of cowboy boots. Definitely dressy enough for office use too.

August 20th was a memorable day for me because I purchased my first pair of cowboy boots! I always imagined this day to be a great experience and Jacob at Lucchese San Antonio absolutely made this an incredible experience from start to finish. Jacob was personable, passionate, and so respectful. My experience started out with an educated overview of Lucchese and then tailored into what I like and what I was looking for. Jacob was knowledgeable about the boots and styles, the feeling of the fit, the expectation for the comfort, among many more things. Jacob made me feel so comfortable with my experience and trying different boots on and making sure what I was trying on was perfect for me. Jacob did a phenomenal job as a salesperson of matching my energy, tone, and excitement and it truly helped to make this such a success. As you can imagine, I ended up buying my first pair of boots and I couldn't be happier with my boots but also my experience. I know that I will be back for a pair of black boots and wouldn't want to experience this again without Jacob's service and experience. Ordered $400 boots for my wife’s birthday. Website said “in stock. ” Immediatley got an email confirming purchase. After that, nada for three weeks. I sent an email to the support email and inquired as to status, as the boots were a gift for my wife’s birthday. Took a while to get an emailed response and all it said was “you’ll get an email when it ships. ”

Well, it didn’t ship. I then tried to call multiple times and their recording literally says, “We don’t have anyone available to talk to you. ” Wow. Over several days I kept calling and finally someone answered. Basically told me they can’t find the boots anywhere. They never bothered to tell me anything though.

Poor website advertising that they were available, horrendous customer service.
